Amir Adnan's foray into the world of fashion was by accident. He started out in 1990 as a banker who was bored with his mundane job routine. To add color to his life and to do away with some of the dullness around him, Adnan made a 'bright and colorful tie' and proceeded to wear it to work. Everyone at work wanted to know where he had purchased such a striking tie. They all wanted one for themselves and were greatly amused when the man claimed to have made it himself. He made another tie the next day and got the same reaction. Within days of this there was a mile long list of people who wanted to buy his ties. Sensing a new turn his life may take, he took some time off from work and made 300 ties. An exhibition was held and it was a stupendous success. There was no looking back after that. By evening, Amir Adnan had sold all 300 ties and gotten orders for 1500 more. He branched out in ties and soon after this he got married to his wife Huma who is a business graduate like himself and together they decided to expand into a full men's wear line.

    The label Amir Adnan is now akin to great quality and brilliant design. The brand name's specialty is grooms wear. Amir Adnan has taken advantage of the general trend nowadays in fashion to revert back to ones roots and to take pride in them. He has launched his ethnic collection at this stage in the U.S thereby creating great waves in the international community. His first outlet opened in 1994 in Clifton, Karachi, the monstrous success of which was followed by one in Islamabad and then again another in Karachi.  Lahore was next on the plans and today there are Amir Adnan outlets in all three major cities of Pakistan

An added feather to Amir Adnan's cap is General Musharraf's great keenness for his outfits. Amir Adnan had specially designed outfits for his much talked about Indian trip with white as the reigning color to denote peace, elegance and grace and light embroidery on the collar to show Pakistan's heritage and appreciation for the fineries in life. What is even greater is that this fine piece of workmanship was noticed by the international media and greatly appreciated. A great many other celebrities regularly patronize the Amir Adnan label, as do almost all the fashion models on the fashion circuit. Having started from designing ties for himself on a dark, gloomy evening, today Amir Adnan today, is a well-known name in quality clothes for men, women and children throughout Pakistan.
