The Comilla Victorians and the Sylhet Sunrisers are going to be playing their first match of the Bangladesh Premier League 2022 season against each other. Match prediction and cricket betting tips for Comilla Victorians vs Sylhet Sunrisers BPL 2022. The match is going to be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on the 22nd of January 2022.
Comilla Victorians have also followed the smart strategy of loading up their batting with overseas talent and then adding the best possible Bangladeshi bowling talent to balance the team. Of course, not all the leading batsmen are overseas but the batting tends to be the weak link in most BPL squads so beefing it up is a good idea.
Faf du Plessis, Moeen Ali, Cameron Delport, and Liton Das are the biggest names in the batting unit. They should be able to provide the Comilla Warriors with the runs needed in most matches provided they get used to the batting surfaces. Moeen Ali is the most dangerous batsman in this lineup and his ability to attack spin from the very first ball he faces will be a massive advantage.
Mustafizur Rahman and Sunil Narine are the two bowlers that will lead the attack for the Comilla Victorians. Mustafizur is world-class at any venue but he is really difficult to hit while playing on the slow Bangladeshi surfaces. Sunil Narine is not as effective at picking up wickets anymore but he is still able to keep the runs down and his batting is an added bonus as well.
A lot will depend on the local players that find a place in the playing eleven as well and that is where the Comilla Victorians will look for some new talent to raise their hand.

The Sylhet Sunrisers appear to be the weakest team in BPL 2022 just by looking at their squad. of course, teams can outperform expectations and do so all the time in T20 cricket but it is easy to see why they are the underdog in this match even before either team has faced a ball in the tournament.
The Sylhet Sunrisers have Lendl Simmons and Colin Ingram as their two leading batsmen. both of them can be destructive but they are also nearer to the end of their careers than they are at the start of it. They go through longer spells of poor scores than in their prime and that is a risk that the Sylhet Sunrisers seem happy to take. They are, of course, still exceptional batsmen at their best.
There seems to be a drop in quality after these two and we worry that the depth in the batting lineup is not going to be enough to compete in most matches. Mohammad Mithun and Anamul Haque are probably the two best Bangladeshi batsmen in the squad and we don't rate either of them very highly.
Al Amin Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, and Kesrick Williams will all form a part of the bowling unit. These are three terrific bowlers but Taskin, in particular, can also be very expensive. The Sylhet Sunrisers will be hoping that the slow bowling sticks will emerge from their pool of local players and that the fast-bowling is taken care of.
We don't like the balance or composition of this squad too much.

The conditions in Dhaka have been a bit slow and generally a bit tougher for batting than expected. We saw 126 as being tough to chase down in the first match and that is probably the template for the rest of the matches as well. The scores may go up a bit as the batsmen get used to the pace of the surface but batting will remain tough.
Something around 140-150 is potentially match-winning in Dhaka.
We are going to bet on the Comilla Victorians to win this match. They have a stronger batting lineup and their bowling lineup is just as good as what the Sylhet Sunrisers have (if not netter). We think the Sylhet Sunrisers have made a couple of mistakes in their squad selection and that will reflect in weaknesses in the playing eleven they put out.
