2.
Information
Service:
It is a service designed to provide the student with facts about
his environment. It is composed of educational-vocational information
service and personal-social opportunities. Students who have economic
problem should be made aware of part-time job opportunities even
while they are still in school in order that their chances for
dropping out for lack of financial support will be presented.
3.
Counseling
Service:
This is the heart of the Guidance Program. Students and teachers
with problems could be allowed to enter into a counseling
relationship with the counselor until such time that they feel there
is no longer need for it. If they do not really avail of these
services due to lack of motivation, nervous approaches, would be used
such as maintaining the relations, developing a desire-for counseling
and interview condition. Only when the counselor does not voluntary
see the counselor, despite the need for it, will be the "call them
in" approach be resorted to.
Referrals should be established for counseling cases, beyond
the counselor's competence. However the Client's permission as well
as his parents, if be is a minor, will be sought before any refusal
is made.
