What would you do if you were an English teacher at high school and one of your former students announced you were gay on national television? That's the basic premisis for In & Out. The whole town of Greenleaf Indiana is watching the Academy Awards waiting for a former resident Greenleaf to accept his Oscar. That resident is Cameron Drake, a Brad Pittish actor. When Cameron does win he thanks all the usual people- directors, producers, and fellow actors. Then he says that he'd also like to thank Howard Brakett, his high school English teacher who's gay. Everyone in the town is abesolutely shocked. Afterall Howard is getting married on Sunday.

Suddenly the press are coming to Greenleaf to get the scoop on Howard. Is he really gay? One reporter played by Tom Selleck, who's gay himself comes on especially strong. So what exactly are the reasons everyone thinks Howard's gay? As one of his students puts it, "Your a smart, clean, decent American." Besides that Howard has a Barabra Streisand obsession and likes to do stuff with his hands.

So afterawhile Howard actually does question his sexuallity. Could he really be gay, if he's getting married? The answer to the question? Yes. So instead of telling his bride-to-be I do, he tells her I'm gay which again shocks the whole town of Greenleaf.

Being gay does have it's conqiquences though. Howard is fired from his job and can't even attend graduation. He does attend anyway and surprisingly enough gets almost the whole autotorium to say that they're gay even though none of them are.

Over all I thought this movie was very funny. It's the only comedy out right now around here and I think you'll enjoy it.
