Ghost was very finely crafted movie. It had a good sence of humor, a compelling mystery, a sappy but nice romance, lots of supernatural stuff (as you might have suspected from the title), and some excellent cinematography with several cool shots.

The movie starts off with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze as Sam and Molly madly in love with each other. They've just bought a loft apartment in New York City where Molly can display her several works of art (she's a potery artist). Then while walking home from the thetere discussing marriage some guy jumps out and murders Sam while Molly can do nothing but watch. Sam then turns into a ghost and even witnesses his own death. Of course Molly is devistated and so is Sam who has to watch Molly suffer.

Then one day while in the apartment Sam's killer sneaks in the loft. Of course Sam is still in the apartment a sees it all. It turns out what looks like what everybody thought to be an ordenary mugging is really an intansinal murder involving Sam's best friend and co-worker, Carl.

Sam knows Molly is in danger and must find a way to contact her, so he goes to Oda Mae Brown, a con-artist who pretends to contact the dead. Of course she's never heard a voice from the deceased so she's super surprised when she can hear Sam. Sam begs her to tell Molly about Carl and Sam's murder. So she finally goes to Molly who at first believes in Oda Mae but then after discovering she has police records a mile high Molly must believe she's a phony.

The movie climaxes with a very romantic scene between Sam and Molly where Sam is able to enter Oda Mae's body and touch Molly one last time. Then of course it's thrust into a thriller scene where Oda Mae and Molly must escape from Carl. I must warn you that there's a very grusome killing at this point which will probably erase all romantic feelings you might have been having at this point.

Overall I thought this was a very good movie. Whopi Goldberg was absolutely hysterical and recieved an Oscar for best supporting actress (the movie won for best original screenplay) and it also had a lot of drama, romance, and mystery as I mentioned before.
