| Friends | Trowa was born as Triton Bloom, the son
of two circus performers, with an older sister named
Catherine Bloom. When he was just a baby, the entire
circus troupe had gotten caught right in the middle of a
battlefield. A missile hit near their carriage and little
Trowa was thrown from his mothers arms, and Catherine
lost her grip on her father and fell as well, to watch in
horror as the carriage burned, believing her little
brother had been killed as well, just as her parents...
she believed war killed her family. He was a survivor, nothing more. He grew up not knowing who he really was. When he was only about five, he stood in a field watching the stars, when a truck pulled up behind him carrying a Leo. A man stuck his head out of the truck and asked what Trowas name was, but he only shook his head... he had no name. Trowa joined up with the group of mercenaries who raised him. They were the closest thing he had to a family, but they werent a family for him at all. They all called him Nanashii, meaning simply enough, No Name... In the forest one day, Trowa found a young orphaned girl named Medii Une, and took her back to the mercenary camp where he lived and worked. While he worked on a Leo mobile suit, she spoke with him and they soon became friends. She gave him a small gold cross on a chain and told him that if he wore it, it would protect him. As the mercenary group traveled toward their next mission, they passed by a circus which Trowa watched with mild interest. The captain figured it was only natural for children like Trowa and Medii to be interested in a circus. Trowa was a mercenary, but he was still just a kid. As the trucks drove off, he saw a girl standing by the tents, yelling and screaming for them to leave. Cathy shouted at the soldiers to leave, because they didn't belong there. Another mission. The mercenary group found themselves outnumbered, and the captain found his own men turning against him on the battlefield. It seemed money was more important to them than loyalty, but Trowa didn't feel that way at all. He managed to escape with his life, but the captain didn't. He then realized just what that charm on Medii's necklace was. The girl confessed to him that she was working for OZ, and that there were tracers and radios in both her necklace and the cross she had given Trowa. She cared about him, and she really was sorry for what she had done, but she had to work for OZ to ensure the safety of her father and brothers. Trowa then left her... and left the cross she gave him behind as well. Time passed, and Trowa, or 'Nanashii' as they called him, became a mechanic on the L3 colony, working to help build the Gundam Heavyarms. When Nanashii was about fifteen, he heard the scientists arguing with Trowa Barton... the REAL Trowa Barton, who said he would handle the mission alone, then he and his grandfather would rule Earth. One of the scientists shot Trowa in fear, and panic swept over them as they wondered what they would do to cover it up. Nanashii walked toward them, saying he had seen what they had done. When asked who he was, and he said, "I have no name. But I can take his." Nanashii, now called'Trowa Barton' became the pilot of Heavyarms, and was sent to Earth. Thus begins, in year After Colony 195, the story of Operation Meteor and the events that would follow. Even after the war's end, young 'Nanashii' remained Trowa Barton. It was who his friends knew him as. Duo Maxwell said to him, "Names are things other people give you so quit meddlin!" |
