Structure of the QBW Website

The Club website structure of files and folders is initially created and maintained on the computer hard drive. The Club website in Geocities is a mirror of it.

Any changes to files or folders are done on the hard drive first and then the changes are uploaded to the Club website to the same place in the structure so that any links are preserved.

The files and folders in the QBW website are in a hierarchical structure with 6 top level files, 1 cascading style sheet, and 15 folders.

Thus looking at the top level file calendar.html, it has links to:
Walk Gradings (gradings.html),
Delayed Outings (delayedout.html),
Special Events (special.html) and
the current Walks Calendar (CalYYYYMMDD.pdf)
and those four files are in the calendar folder

The Top Level files	Subsidiary Folder/s	Explanation
calendar.html	calendar	The folder contains the three html files delayedout.html gradings.html special.html and the Calendar in PDF format.
articles.html	articles	The folder contains 16 articles (in html files) written by members.
index.html (the home page)	about us leaders	The aboutus folder contains the 4 html files: activits.html gowalk.html leaders.html membersh.html and the Membership form in PDF format. The leaders folder contains the files linked in the leaders.html file.
links.html	links	The folder contains the html files with links for each State, Australia and Overseas.
newsletr.html	newsletr	The folder contains the PDF Newsletters. (The misspelling is intentional. In the early days the name had to be 8 letters or less.)
pastwalk.html	walks1999 walks2000 walks2001 walks2002 walks2003 walks2004 walks2005 walks2006	For ease of use, the walks have been separated into different years. Each folder contains the html files and the associated photos of the walks for that year.
	graphics	contains the common graphics that are in all the html files
style.css		a cascading style sheet file controls the formatting of all the html files
