-----The dancer seems to detect some frustration in the young mage and quickly whips off her cloak. Sarah sees bright colors of red, orange and yellow in the blouse she wears.
-----The young woman then coaxes Sarah into simpler steps that the dancer can then augment so that the entire workout is an exercise in counterpoint featuring movements both fluid and graceful.
-----The song the girl sings is one in which the melody seems to captivate the listener. Its words seem to be about a most mystical, wondrous place.
-----"Come with me to Adeli Downs, . . . venturing through the mists, . . . here it be where true love sings, . . . and life is all a'bliss."
-----This continues for a few moments more when Sarah is suddenly aware of something streaking past her head. The dancer lets out a surprised and frightened cry as she looks toward the trunk of the massive tree near them. There, Sarah can see the shaft of an arrow quivering from the wood it impaled itself into.
-----The dancer quickly grabs Sarah by the hand and tells her, "We must flee!"
-----"No, we must stand our ground." Sarah says to the dancer and begins casting one of her favorite spells. "Get behind me."
-----Sarah quickly grabs a golden feather from one of her pouches and, with her own graceful move, calls upon her magic. Within moments, a quartet of glowing golden small owls circles above her head.
-----Off from the trees to her right, comes another arrow through the rain. It goes wide but still impales itself in the trunk that makes up the inn the young mage is staying at.
-----Just then, Sol and Romney come running from around the base of the trunk as one of Sarah's magical owls flies toward the brush and the concealed cover of the surrounding trees.
-----In an instant, the owl flies into the greenery where it is lost to sight. In the next moment, explosions of magical flashes occur and then quickly die away. No sound is heard in the woods except for the rain falling.
-----Sarah grins disarmingly at the dancer. "See, you hold out a few second and some dashingly handsome knights show up." She flashes Sol an incredibly happy grin and then points towards where her owl flew. "I believe they're that away."
-----"Romney! New exercise!" Sol yells in anger as he does make haste in the direction Sarah indicates. Unfortunately he can't return Sarah's levity, worry easily showing on his face.
-----As he runs, Sol pulls his sword free of the scabbard he holds in his hands and discards the scabbard on the wet ground without second thought.
-----As Romney runs past Sarah, he quickly looks at her and says, "MiLady, are you unharmed?" Seeing the mage run after them seems to answer the guard's question. Both men then charge into the brush with swords drawn.
-----"Wait for me!" the dancer says with a bit of a frightened tone in her voice. She then comes running in her bare feet after the Lord Wizard's daughter.
-----As they leap through to the spot where the magical effect took place, the warriors pause swords up and faces very alert. The smaller bushes and branches surround them. No noise do they detect save for the rain and the heavy breathing brought on by anger and exertion.
-----Everyone freezes as they carefully scan the otherwise protective trees about them. At one point, Romney jumps as he looks up, but it appears he was momentarily spooked by the shadow of a fallen branch held high above the ground by a nearby tree's boughs.
-----No living thing seems to be here except for the plant life.
-----"By the Holy Redeemer," Romney whispers in frustration, "now would be the time when our hunters are not with us."
-----Looking at Sol and Sarah, the guard offers, "Shall I go and bring Raven or Garrison?"
-----The dancer huddles close to the others, her eyes looking back and forth from the adventurers to their surroundings.
-----"No. We may need th' extra pair o' eyes in case this bastard tries again. An' no need t'whisper, the foe would know we're here, so I'll try this instead..." Sol fills his lungs with air and expels it a moment later as he yells urgently at the top of his lungs, "RAVEN!"
-----After the call, Sol finds another large tree and guides the group so that their backs are to it. He then takes to keeping an eye on one half of the forest, while leaving the other to Romney.
-----After just a few moments, those in the cover of the forest see a man's form climb out onto his balcony from the first level of rooms in the large massive tree that makes up the inn. The man quickly slings his bow over his shoulder and move over the ledge of the balcony. He hangs there for a moment before letting himself drop to the ground.
