-----As she looks out, Sarah notices a bluish glow behind her. Turning, she sees a book appear on the table. Picking the book up, Sarah sees that this is a book of third level spells with all of the spells she knows already inscribed inside.
-----Sarah takes the book to the window and reads through it as she gazes out at the forest, she puts one of the elf girls' flowers behind her left ear and the others in a vase. She wonders why her dad would feel the need to send her spells she already knows.
-----As Sarah looks through her book, she hears Sol walking across his room next door. She hears his door open and it sounds as if the young warrior is leaving.
-----Sarah's heart skips a beat and she hopes very much that Sol is about to knock on her door. She glances back at the book to pretend like she isn't completely hinging on it....but she can't read, she just pays attention to the footsteps.
-----Sarah then hears Sol, though it sounds as though he does not immediately turn his attention toward the young mage's door. The Gorian's voice is heard speaking to someone. The response that is given sounds like he is talking to Romney.
-----Sarah sighs and smiles sadly to herself as she starts flipping silently through the book again, hoping that Sol will come to her.
-----Alas, Sol continues to speak with Romney and then within a few moments, Sarah hears both men leave, their boots clumping as they walk down the steps to the ground level.
-----The rain outside her balcony continues to pour. As she glances toward the window, Sarah sees a small red bird with black wings huddling on the railing. It turns its head from side to side and seems to focus on the mage with its small beady eyes.
-----Sarah sighs grumpily as Sol clumps away and wishes he had come into her room. Just to say hi even. She glances outside and sees the little bird and smiles at it. She wonders if she can get it to come to her. Speaking in elven, she says, "Come here, little one," offering it some of the food she had saved for Chessie.
-----The bird cocks its head seeming to study the mage momentarily. It then spreads its wings and flies off. Everything seems still and quiet again except for the continuing rain.
-----After a moment, Sarah can hear more walking on the platform outside her door. She then returns to the book on her table.
-----As Sarah continues to pour over her book, time seems to suspend itself. The rain provides a steady rhythm on the roof of her cabin as the gray cast of the sky deepens the shadows of her room. As she looks about at different times to rest her eyes from reading, it is difficult to tell how much time has passed since she heard Sol outside her door.
-----Suddenly her ears pick up on a soft sound. From somewhere outside, Sarah can hear a beautiful young voice singing a very merry song unaccompanied by instruments.
-----Sarah goes to the window and opens it wide. She glances around to see who could be singing, smiling happily for no real reason.
-----As Sarah looks out, she sees the rain pouring down among the greenery of high trees. Looking toward the ground, she can make out far below the motion of someone in a light green cloak dancing and singing in a small grove between the ring of forest trees. The singing sounds very enchanting.
-----In the next few moments, Sarah quickly winds her way down the steps surrounding the huge trunk. As she descends, the rain never lets up, though the person dancing below seems not to mind.
-----As she catches glimpses of the person, Sarah can tell it is a young woman perhaps her own age. As the cloak swirls about, different colors are seen as if the person uses every color of the rainbow as part of her wardrobe.
-----Finally, Sarah comes to the bottom step and walks out on the smooth grass among the huge tree's roots. The girl turns in Sarah's direction continuing her dance. The young mage can see short blond hair beneath the cloak's hood and a pretty face that features large emerald eyes and small red lips. A small smile crosses the girl's face as she sees Sarah, though the song she sings never stops. Her bare feet lithely move as she spins and springs in time to her music.
-----Sarah watches the dancer, impressed by the suavity of her moves. She pulls her own hood up and then waves at the dancer in a friendly way, smiling her charming smile.
-----As she dances, the young woman nods to Sarah and pulls the young mage toward her. She releases her as Sarah begins to pick up the rhythm. Sarah is graceful but after a few moments, she finds it difficult to keep up with this new dancer. The spins, kicks, and leaps seem marvelous but just too advanced to try.
