-----The wounded woodsman strides up alongside Lovan and chops in with his mighty axe. He badly wounds a humanoid and readies to swing again.
-----Sarah, seeing the humanoid archers prepare, casts a spell, which invoke a wall of fog that forms thirty yards in front of her and the three guardian warriors. This proves to be just in time as the hobgoblins suddenly realize their line of sight on their targets has been foiled. Arrows come sailing through the sudden fog bank, but they strike no one.
-----"Mistress!" Caranip now says with distress, "Strolum has been hit! Can we do something for him?"
-----As the enemy draws around him, Sol swings with a vengeance. With another diagonal slice, Sol's sword cuts into the man's armor at the shoulder nearly taking his head. Sol battles around for a killing strike and misses as the commander nearly slumps from his mount. With a hefty down stroke, Sol brings the blade down on the helm, killing the leader and dropping him from his saddle.
-----Raven rips across and slashes deep into an enemy's chest taking its life. Garrison likewise drops his opponent and moves forward.
-----As Dilton tries to help Strolum, Sarah sees the frogs she summoned take two more hobgoblins down and hop about causing havoc.
-----Now, the soldiers bearing morningstars weigh in! Raven dodges one humanoid successfully, only to fall prey to another one. A weapon strikes the Hunter across the chest badly injuring him!
-----Garrison is able to fend off two more of the foes, batting the cruel weapons away from him. Lovan also escapes strikes from two soldiers letting his new shield take the impact.
-----"Come on." Sarah says to her wounded guards. "Let us retreat." Under the cover of the fog, she pulls back a safe distance and will continue to fire ranged spells at the enemy.
-----Sarah and her entourage emerge out of the fog onto the side of one of the hills. From their vantage point, they can continue to see the battle, but are safe enough from the reach of accurate arrows.
-----Sarah can now see Sol battling two more armored men on horse. Quickly she sends the last of her magic missile spells and sighs, as this is the last of her damaging spell to reach such a range. This is, unless she wanted to charm one of the enemy or summon more monsters.
-----Pil quietly helps Strolum down from his horse nearby and lets the warrior ease down to rest on the ground.
-----Across the way, the heroes seem to be faring very well. Raven continues to slice through humanoid after humanoid and Sol swings wildly as he battles the two mounted guards.
-----"Ye be lettin' me lie 'ere a bit n' I'll be fit enough t'carry on," Strolum says weakly to the bronze warrior.
-----Among the battle, Sarah can see the four frogs continue to spring from one hobgoblin to the next. Suddenly the hawk flies up from the ground into the face of one of the soldiers. After a quick struggle, the hobgoblin falls over as the bird of prey takes flight.
-----"Fit enough to carry on?" Caranip is heard to squeak, "By my Aunt Nanny Nillieworth! You shouldn't be carrying any farther than a bed to rest in." Caranip looks almost angry at the badly wounded warrior.
-----Dilton looks across at Pil and says, "Ye be holdin' 'em whilst I be tryin' t'get the arrow out."
-----Raven roughly takes down two more hobgoblins practically beheading one with minimal effort. Two more rush forward and try to take the Hunter. Raven sidesteps one, but the other one slams his morningstar into the ranger's stomach, hurting him.
-----Lovan fares very well as humanoids try to rain him with blows, but his shield holds off the attacks. Garrison doesn't fare as well as he parries one hobgoblin while another badly wounds him across the back.
-----The storm priest kills one of his opponents by slamming his hammer into its head.
-----Winded, Garrison misses one hobgoblin assaulting him. As he refocuses, he swings his axe and slays it.
-----Suddenly, the younger officer is thrown off his horse as the steed rears. The man falls to the ground screaming in pain as he grasps at his plate armor. The two guards near him dismount but look helpless as if not knowing what to do.
-----"Help me get this armor off! It's burning me!" he screams. The guards run to help him, but recoil at the touch of the metal.
-----The two guards facing off against Sol try to strike him with their swords, but Sol parries them.
-----Suddenly, the hobgoblin archers seeing their commanders now either dead or incapacitated begin fleeing off to the southwest.
-----Now the army seems to be down to roughly thirty hobgoblins!
-----Raven continues his onslaught. The Hunter jabs into another enemy and kills it.
-----The humanoids carrying pole arms draw their weapons and draw swords. Instead of running, they march toward the heroes.
-----The hawk swoops back in, but fails to hit any of the still advancing soldiers.
