-----Raven strikes another hobgoblin and drops it. At the same time, Sol kills one of the guards and the body drops as the horse underneath it moves off.
-----The frogs continue their chaotic attack although one vanishes as a hobgoblin smashes into it.
-----The hawk lands on another soldier as Raven stabs deeply into its chest.
-----"Run for your lives! Your leaders are all dead!" Garrison yells, hoping that the hobgoblins somehow understand common. He then throws all his weight into his weapon striking another soldier. The woodsman nearly cuts entirely through the torso splattering the surrounding evil ones with vile blood.
-----At that instant, the hobgoblins all look around. In the next moment, they flee with a few among them dropping their weapons.
-----Laughing, Lovan looks over at the woodsman and says, "How did you do that?"
-----Garrison sinks to the ground, panting. He raises his hand at one point and then between breaths, he gasps, "Nevermind!"
-----Sol delivers a strike that badly wounds the last guard facing him. The man hesitates looking at the scene around him.
-----The entire army of humanoids has now deserted! The heroes now have the cloaked man tied up, three guards who offer no resistance and one screaming officer who is being slowly roasted alive in his own armor.
-----The three frogs bound after the retreating troops!
-----Sarah lets the frogs chase off the hobgoblins as she starts to tend to the wounds of all the injured people.
-----Sarah suddenly notices Sol whirl Thunder around, in a 360-degree circle. Seeing no immediate threats, he suddenly spurred his warhorse after the fleeing hobgoblins.
-----A few moments later, Lovan runs to his horse and chases after the young warrior. Rinda, Raven and Garrison are left to guard the captured humans. As the sounds die down, Sarah can hear the pain filled yelling of someone probably one of the prisoners.
-----As Sarah turns back, she sees Dilton struggling to get the arrow out of Strolum's wound. Pil holds the red-haired man down while Strolum sweats profusely and grunts at the pain.
-----Sarah does all she can for Strolum and Dilton. She personally orders them not to go near any combat for the rest of the day, and to kindly request healing spells from Rinda in the morning.
-----After the arrow is removed from Strolum, Pil takes a stance on the hill watching the surrounding countryside.
-----As soon as Sarah finishes tending the injured, Dilton says to Strolum, "Aye, ye be hearin' th' Lady. No fightin' fer the rest o' t'day. Mayhaps we be pickin' up some shields o' our own."
-----Strolum mainly ignores his fellow warrior and thanks Sarah humbly for her attention. After a while, he does reply to Dilton, saying, "Now th't Sol, when I be up and runnin' maybe he'll be a'showin' us some more o' his fightin' skill."
-----Caranip makes a tsk, tsking sound away from the warriors. She looks up at Sarah and asks, "Do we really need their protection, Mistress? I think they're hurting themselves more trying to protect us and we haven't even been hurt!"
-----Off in the distance, Sarah can hear the sound of Sol fighting the routed army.
-----Sarah shushes Caranip. She agrees with the gnome, but does not want to hurt the warrior's feelings. "Well, let us go see what the situation is." Sarah nudges Marlexana so that the mage can see what is going on.
-----Across the way, Sarah can see Raven and Garrison are tying what foes they have together in a line. From what she sees, it looks to be about four or five humans.
-----Further in the distance to the southwest, she sees hobgoblins scattering before Sol and Lovan. The young warrior then rides off to chase down another group of running humanoids.
-----Sarah gathers her guards together and orders them to mount up. Caranip is placed in the saddle behind the young mage and Marlexana leads the other riders down the hill. The ride across the battlefield is quiet where a while ago it was active with the sounds of fighting and hatred. High overhead the first of the carrion birds appear waiting for the party to move on.
-----Soon they reach where the humanoid army held their ground and the first of the charred hobgoblin dead. The smoldering bodies give rise to a stench that makes stomachs uneasy and brings discomfort to the nostrils. Dozens of dead humanoids lie about; their bodies telling of their deaths whether by wounds or spell fire.
