-----Raven leaps up by the altar causing the evil priest to spin toward him. The flames from his evil blade continue to crackle in the air. With a mighty lunge, the ranger brings one of his swords to bear into the chest of the dark one. Opening mouthed, the priest cries out in pain and drops to the floor. His spell abruptly expires causing his flame blade to vanish. There he lies in the worst critical condition, barely hanging onto his evil life by a thread. He looks up at Sol and Raven and the expression on his face is unreadable.
-----Meanwhile, some of the robed followers panic and run toward the huge webbing blocking the tunnel. Some of these find their way behind the webs and begin racing out of the cavern. A couple of worshippers get themselves caught by the webs, where their struggles cause them to be bound even more.
-----Some of the followers remain in the center of the cave, where a few actually draw daggers and praying to the Dark Lady, end their lives at their own hands. The few that remain simply sit by and weep and sob and pray for deliverance unto Noctura.
-----With one quick thrust Raven ends the life of the lesser dark one. Raven looks over to Rinda to make sure she is okay. Still stretching the Huntress waves back to him.
-----Raven then walks over to Sol and places a hand on his shoulder. "Well done. You had us worried there for a minute. Your plan to play dead sure worked like a charm."
-----Raven looks over at Sarah, "You okay, Sarah? That Aaron had us all fooled. You really held it all together when the shit was flying. You were great."
-----"Yeah." Sarah says, pulling her wand out from Aarons belt. "I'm okay now." Looking down at Aarons body, she continues, "You miserable son of a...what's that?" Sarah bends down and removes Aarons cloak from his body, moving it in the light to show how the silvery spiderwebbish threads reflect. "Interesting." She muses.
-----The spiderweb reminds her of the unfortunate effect mostly blocking their path out, but she also sees how some of the worshippers are escaping. Hurrying to the web, she casts a web spell of her own around the mouth of the tunnel, hopefully trapping all those trying to flee.
-----"Now lets see what Devlin has." Sarah says, and begins to search the bodies of everyone important in the area. The followers she leaves alone. "Aaron had some strange sort of sword one of you guys might want to look at." Sarah says to Sol and Raven, "But I'm not sure I'd touch it."
-----Raven turns to the guards, "Take the rest of the followers prisoners." Raven looks over at the followers. "Kill any that resist."
-----Raven begins to search the bodies. Rinda looks around the altar with a disgusted look on her face. She spits on the evil structure. She then begins to light a few more torches and places them around the cavern.
-----Sol gazes around the room briefly, with no small amount of satisfaction. Snapping himself out of it, he calls, "Guards, round up those that are still around, and don't let any more...oh. Another web. Right. We can't chase the others. Nevermind. Just gather those you can." Nodding to himself, he retrieves his short sword and cleans both of his swords before sheathing them.
-----"Hey Raven, what do you mean Aaron had us fooled?" Showing that there was a section of events that seem to have skipped Sol's attention. As he waits for an answer Sol heads to the back of the cave to have a look around.
-----By this time, Romney, Abram and Shema have six followers rounded up in the center of the cave. The rest of the dark ones are either dead, escaped or caught by Sarahs additional web spell. Suddenly three of the fanatics try to jump Abram, but Romney and Shema are ready to aid him. After the followers refuse to submit, the guards have no choice but to slay them. The guards are then left with a trio of robed followers who they tie together.
-----Sol doesnt have any luck finding anything toward the back of the cavern, but he spies something interesting on the huge rocky eastern wall. There spaced about twenty feet from each other are two large wall hangings that are draped on the wall. They are roughly ten feet tall and five feet wide. They are large enough to conceal an opening.
-----"No need for that Rinda." Sarah says, as she casts a continual light spell aimed for the center of the roof of the cavern. "This place could use some cheering up."
-----"Good!" Rinda says, after being surprised by the sudden light. The spell gives the impression of the cavern ceiling being suddenly taken off exposing the sun shining down brightly. It takes a few moments for everyone to readjust their eyes. The three prisoner followers hide their faces where they are huddled together.
-----Sol moves over to the eastern rocky wall, all the while shaking his head and quietly cursing fanatics. Once the warrior gets to the wall, he looks behind the two large wall hangings draped on the wall.
