-----The Dread Pirate looks momentarily uneasy at Zharta's question, then replies with his typical tact, "What became of Ariella? Errrmmm, well, yer wearin bits of her, I think. I'm pretty sure that was her we pitched out the window. Tiny little thing, but she put up one hell of a fight. Apparently she was taken over by evil forces. Possibly the evil powers o' that dark crystal we found up there are responsible. She wasn't quite the same as ye remember her though. She'd become a member of the undead and her eyes were missin out o' her head. Twas pretty gruesome, to be honest. Once we finally put her down, she started heatin up and spewin black smoke out o' her head, so we chucked her out the window afore she exploded. Ummm, as ye probably noticed, she did explode, so it was a pretty wise move on our parts. Who knows what sort o' damage she coulda caused if'n she blew up in an enclosed area. Sorry bout the mess though, didn't know she splatter all over ye."
-----The Dread Pirate points at the bespattered lesser priest's face and says, "Umm, ye've got a little bit o' somethin there under yer nose."
-----The Dread Pirate then yells up at the others, "Maybe ye'd better use a pair of tongs or somethin to pick up that crystal. It might be best if'n we didn't touch it with bare hands. I don't know if thats what happened to Ariella or not, but I'd rather not take any chances with those blasted things."
-----"Wasn't just her eyes. Her tongue was missing too," Kazel clears her throat. "For your information. Anyway, who wants these bladders? You can save them for something with eyes next time."
-----She then looks herself over for the wounds she got from the rainy spell.
-----The Dread Pirate makes a disgusted face, "Arrr, her tongue was missing also? Thats disgusting. I wonder what happened to 'em? And why would they be removed anyway, fer that matter? So theres a set of eyeballs and a tongue from a High priestess of magic floatin around somewheres. I'd better not be findin 'em in me pack, thats all I have to say. I can just imagine reachin in there fer a pie, and grabbin a big squishy eyeball. I'd never be able to eat pie again. At least not fer a week or so."
-----The Dread Pirate turns to Zharta and says, "Anyway, we cleaned out yer temple fer ye. I'd appreciate it if ye'd send a nice letter to Jacian Dawnrider and all those good chaps back in Hearthorn, tellin 'em what a great job we're doin fightin evil. And ye can include a bit in there about how those others boneheads in our group just rode off and left ye. Their names were Sol, Raven, and Sarah. I still can't believe they saw what was goin on here and just blithely rode off. Leavin us to clean up after 'em. Doin all the hard work while they ride about flexin their muscles and tellin each other how great they are."
-----The Dread Pirate throws his hands up in the air in disgust and then fumes quietly to himself for awhile.
-----Seth grimaces at the thought of finding an eyeball and tongue in his or anyones pack. Thinking of the spell books and goodies he needs to go through, he casually mentions, "We need to retire to our Inn. You can have your fellows bring our reward around to there."
-----He whispers to Dread, "There was a reward, wasn't there?"
-----The Dread pirate nods at Seth, "Aye, we should be gettin back to our inn. But maybe ye can heal up poor old Krord there. That witch hit him a good one. And everybody else that needs healin. Then we'll rest up fer awhile and then off to Visp."
-----He then adds, "I don't know if theres a reward or not. There should be. Above and beyond the call of duty and all that. Maybe some hazardous duty pay. Its not every town we fight a coven of evil wizards and then have to fight an explodin super-zombie."
-----Seth looks at the priests and says, "If you had not considered what to reward us with, consider four good horses and tack and some healing potions to aid us when we catch up with the head evilness."
-----The rogues and their guards are taken below to a large room in the temple basement where everyone is tended to the best of the available priests abilities. Soon everyone is mostly healed save for a few small wounds and aching muscles.
-----Zharta meets with them before they depart the temple. He tells them, "I shall begin a few letters that I will send on to Hearthorn on the valuable assistance you have provided to the Holy Temple of Joren. They shall be addressed to the High Court of Hearthorn, Jacian Dawnrider and Karena, the Curate of the Holy Temple in Hearthorn."
-----Turning and gathering up a large pouch bag and a smaller one, he continues, "I fear we cannot provide horses as we do not maintain a regular stable, however, I do offer a few items in appreciation for which you have done." He hands Gimplefwick the large pouch bag that is heavy with the feel and the sound of coins. "Two hundred gold we offer to you and I fear that is all we can afford at this time. We are in your debt and you shall find the doors to this temple always open to you if you find yourselves in a time of need."
-----He then also hands Seth a smaller pouch containing six slender glass vials. "These blessed items that we give you include three potions of healing. They are the vials that contain the pink liquid. The others contain pure water that have been blessed as the Holiest Water of Our Lord, Joren, by the priests of Our Faith."
