Chapter 14 – Sonya vs Kano pt. 2
On the other side of the island, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade are talking to each other about Kano and Sonya talks about her success about her win over Kano.
“I got a good kick in his face right after Shang Tsung ordered the match in my favor. Wait till the boys hear what I did back at the station.” Sonya boasted.
“Wow, you should have seen of my Shadow kick I did earlier.” Johnny Cage said.
“That was purely shit, mate.” Kano said as he walked out from behind a tree, “You thought you had killed me back there. Oh no, I’m much stronger than that.”
Sonya looked at him in disbelief. She couldn’t believe that he was still alive since the battle they had.
“They put your body on that barge.” Sonya started.
“Yes, with all the other bodies, it looks like that wizard might win all this.” Kano replied.
“You are not going to do anything to us.” Johnny Cage stepped in front of Sonya.
“I see you found another boy toy. Wait a minute, aren’t you that movie star?” Kano asked.
“And I suppose that you think I’m fake too?” Cage sarcastically said.
“Oh no, I just want to be famous to kill and world renowned Martial artists.” Kano said with a cheerful glee.
“Kano, I’ve seen how you fight and you can’t win against me.” Johnny said.
Kano then lunged at Johnny Cage but Sonya pushed him out of the way and threw up her foot. Kano smashed right into her foot face first and Kano hit the ground.
“You goddamn whore.” Kano said as he got up.
“I’ve beaten you before and I will beat you again.” Sonya said to him.
Just then Johnny heard something behind him and turn and was smacked into his mouth. It was Goro. Kano and Sonya looked at Johnny and watched how Goro screamed in emotional rage.
“You humans!!! I will kill you!” Goro screamed.
“Prince of the underworld. I will get more if I kill you.” Kano said as he took off after Goro with a knife.
“No, Kano don’t…” Sonya started but was too late.
Goro swung his arm and knocked Kano aside the head and he went flying into a tree. His knife flew out and stabbed the ground nearby Sonya. Sonya looked at the knife and memories and stories of the knife flew through her head. She then grabbed the knife and threw it at Goro. It sliced his lower right arm. Johnny was already up and nailed Goro right into his back with his newly acquired shadow kick.

Shang Tsung had knocked down Liu Kang from a double palm strike. Liu Kang had been losing since the tests from changing into Raiden to now. Liu Kang needs encouragement. Raiden then shows up near the fight. Liu Kang then thought of something.
