Dr. Sangeeta Karmokar

Sangeeta has been integral part of education, research and community engagement. Her practice-based research interest lies at the intersection of the entrepreneurship and design discipline with a special interest in social and women entrepreneurship. Sangeeta’s expertise involves design thinking, digital innovation, entrepreneurial strategy, women entrepreneurship and working with community. One of the major research area is innovation and entrepreneurship and bringing together community and commercial partners in education area. The last few years of her career has been spent exploring and experimenting with design tools and innovative methods of engaging with industry and community.

Dr. Thamilini Vamathevan

“Know Thyself” is the meaning of our school motto, which inspires me to discover my new self every day. I am an experienced and qualified Software Engineer and Researcher. I have a passion for turning research ideas into commercial reality. I am a people-person and actively involved in community engagement.

Rachna Vijan

Rachna is an IT professional who has been with the New Zealand IT industry for over 15 years. Having worked across Auckland Council, Paper, Finance, Global and boutique IT companies, Rachna brings a unique blend of personable, technical and management skills. Rachna is passionate about working with people and helping communities. She delivered a world-class annual PMI (Project Management Institute) conference held in Auckland in 2011 that was attended by over 300 delegates and several speakers from around the world. She has also run volunteer events and is part of the Global Organisation for people of Indian Origin.

Albert Ruban

Albert Ruban is a graduated physiotherapist and psychologist from India. He has been involved in community in various roles such as Senior Rehab Coordinator, Teacher Aide, community support worker, Therapeutic massage practioner for several years. Albert has been involved in the Srilankan Tamil Community and works along with people. He teaches dance, language and culture to New Zealand born Tamil children and makes short movies based on social awareness. His humanitarian thinking and approach also includes his regular blood and plasma donations and actively involved in various community activities. As a creator he writes poems, essays, scripts which always have views of social and humanity.
