Caesar Martini’s (or Caesar’s as it normally goes by) is located at 140 University Avenue West. This is a great spot for WLU and UW students alike as it is inside the University Plaza. This dance club is very similar in size and style to Cameo, which happens to be located next door. However, Caesar’s is also a classy restaurant during the day. Hours of operation are 11:00AM (12:00AM on some days) until 1:00AM (2:00AM Thurs – Sat). It also happens to be closed on Sunday. So if you are looking for great food (with not so great prices) try it out. But Caesar’s is known by students mainly as a night club.
If you plan on going to Caesar’s with a torn up sleeveless T-shirt and ratty jeans, you should think twice. Caesar’s takes pride in being one of the fanciest nightclubs in Waterloo. Not that you have to suit up every night, but a button up shirt (or dress for the ladies) is a must. There are two bars inside, a pretty large sitting area, and a dance floor. There is also a large patio that backs onto University Avenue, so if weather permits, grab a seat outside. However, this turns into a smoke pit once Caesar’s turns into a club.
Entrance is $5.00 with drinks costing about the same. It can also get pretty packed inside, so start getting ready early and arrive early unless you have a guest list. It is also very convenient having Cameo right next door, because if Caesar’s is too packed, it’s not hard taking the ten step walk over to Cameo. But if you are looking for a fun time Thursday through Saturday, get dressed up and make your way to University Plaza for a night of dancing and drinking.
