July – Steve Knight July’s
“Supporter of the Month” goes to Steve Knight. Steve has become a loyal supporter of the Wakehurst Premier League team this year and in recent
weeks has reached into his pockets and put on a fantastic spread after the
Manly Vale and Dee Why games. This has provided a great environment for
players and supporters from both teams to socialise in the club house after
home games. Hopefully this will become a regular event and provide an
environment to attract more people to watch home games and socialise with the
PL team afterwards. The
players would also like to thank Steve for providing refreshments after each
game. Next time you see him at the club make sure you pass on your gratitude
and buy him a beer. June – Lucas Rainbird The
inaugural “Supporter of the Month” is Lucas Rainbird. Son of the legendary hard-man of the Wakehurst Premier League, Justin Rainbird (a.k.a.
Birdman). Who could deny this young Tiger supporter being the inaugural SOTM. After getting all dressed up before the big clash
against Brookie he was disappointed to find out
that the game was washed out. L He
can be seen at most games with the Rainbird clan. More often than not
he’s in the Club House after a game smacking soccer balls against the
walls and supporters heads with his brother in tow. If genetics have anything
to do with it, this little Tiger will be slide tackling and chopping down
opponents in no time.
