Shane Brandon McMahon was born January 15, 1970, in the vicinity of Gaithersburg, Maryland, to Vince and Linda McMahon.
The McMahons moved to New England in the 1970's. They bought the Cape Cod Coliseum in Massachusetts in 1979, and in 1981, Shane began working on the outside clean-up crew after concerts. In 1982, he graduated to the inside crew.
When the family moved to Connecticut in 1983, he began working at the WWF's warehouse in Stamford. After 2 years, Shane began working for a brick mason.
In 1987, Shane graduated from high school. He began attending Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. Starting in 1989, he began working on the ring crew during the summer. He also interned in the Marketing Department, focusing on licensing.
Shane graduated in 1991 with a B.S. in Mass Communications and Public Relations. He began working for the WWF full time in the TV studio. In 1996, Shane married Marissa Mazzola, the director of National Public Relations for the WWF.
Today, Shane is the President of New Media. He and Marissa live in Greenwich, Connecticut.
