Log of Group 3 Activities
Virtual World Designer is
the name of group 3 that prepared for presenting "Virtual
Worlds" in 4th of May tutorial class. There are 5 members
in group 3 that are, Alder Chew Pang Hsyung, Jakrapun Vacharachaisurapol,
Maria Andrea Dugtong, Mirna Anaya, Nattaphon Supalasret, Nobuhiro
Nakayama. My group start prepare this presentation at the
beginning of April. We had the first meeting at 2nd of April
afternoon. Our group use most of the tools available on Black
Board which are mailing list, discussion board, file exchange,
Online Class room.
- Mailing list: To broadcast special events
and notices to everybody in the group.
- Discussion board: To post the topics for discussion and
it's also a good place to summarize idea after the meeting
for people who couldn't attent the meetning.
- File exchange: To put power point slide, documents and files
that are needed to share among members.
- Online Class room: The place where members can have a virtual
meeting without the need of seeing each other.
First Meeting (19th
March 2005)
After discussed in the class, we planned to
have online meeting by using the feature that UTSOnline has
provided. It was around 2 hours meeting. Maria Andrea Dugtong
was the Moderator of this meeting. Jakrapun Vacharachaisurapol
is our group secretary who will notes the main points in the
meeting and send mail to all the group member. This meeting
started at 3:15p.m. Almost all member attended the meeting
which are Alder,Dugtong, Jakrapun, Nattaphon, Nobu. The purpose
of this meeting is to share the information about Virtual
Worlds to other group members. Fortunately, Most of the members
have prepared before enter this meeting.
We spent around an hour to
share our information and try to answer the questions that
mentioned by group members. This is quite a good start to
communicate each other in this meeting. After that, we try
to list out the main point that we going to present in our
presentation. After an half hour discussion, we decided to
cover the Virtual Worlds in 6 parts that most of them are
suggested by Maria Andrea Dugtong.
Nearly end of the meeting,
each of us got their own parts to write, there are:

At the end of the meeting,
Jakrapun Vacharachaisurapol will send all the group members
a mail about the parts of the presentation.
Before having the second Meeting,
our group members actually used discussion board to post their
idea such as the second meeting and our Group name and logo.
So after a several discussion, we have decided that Alder
Chew Pang Hsyung designed the logo for the group and the next
meeting will held on 29 April 2005. Our group also using the
File exchange features that provided by BlackBoard
Second Meeting (29
April 2005)
Meeting started at 8:15p.m. There were five
members attended the meeting which are Alder,Dugtong, Jakrapun,
Nattaphon, Nobu. This meeting is to finalize the PowerPoint
slides and to have a trial presentation. Alder Chew Pang Hsyung
is the moderator for this meeting. Some members tried to put
all the powerpoint presentation on the website to use for
this trial presenation. However, after spent almost half an
hour, we couldn't get it to work. Most of members were distracted
after long period of in-activities. The meeting has ended
without further participation. Some of the members agreed
to have another meeting to practise the presentation. Majority
of us aggreed to have it on Sunday. (1 May 2005). We have
also decided to separate some jobs for each members, such
as the group preparation, reflection, combination and link
of the file, log and activities and etc. Belows are the task

Third Meeting (01
May 2005)
Meeting started at 8:10 p.m. there were four
member attended the meeting which are Alder, Jakrapun, Nattaphon,
Nobu. Jakrapun Vacharachaisurapol is the moderator for this
meeting. All the members has prepared for having a demo presentation.
All of us presented their own part well. All member attended
the meeting have a same problem which is not enough time.
After demo presentation, all of us have some ideas of presentation
and exchange some ideas of presentation skill. This meeting
was ended at 10:40 p.m.
