We passed Saskatoon and stopped in North Battleford for the
night. The weather is colder and wet.
Derek is looking forward to visiting the historical sites associated
with the North West Mounted Police, later the RCMP.
We are staying in a small motel overlooking the valley where
Fort Battleford is located. A strange thing happened just after
we arrived. A man came into our motel room with a card, very
embarrassed to find us there. It turned out that he was yet
another Mr Wood. The people on the desk thought that he was
one of us!
A similar thing happened two days before in an Ontario motel
where the lady took our booking by phone without a credit card.
Turned out she thought we were another Wood family who were
regulars there!
