We found that the cottage we had reserved was "too rustic"
even for us, so we have ended up at the Hecate Inn in Queen Charlotte
City, a largish village.
To cheer ourselves up we stopped on a beach to check out the
wild/dead life and the geology.
The geology is amazing. I have never seen so many
different sorts of rock scattered in the same area.
The Tmishian guide in Prince Rupert told us that
you can trace abandoned villages by cleared canoe slides across
the beach to the water.
