�We�ll be in the kitchen,� Jane stated as they all walked out.
�I thought you weren�t expecting anyone,� Nickolas said getting up.
�I wasn�t,� Sunshine rebutted. �If I was do you think I would�ve left it go this far?� He just looked at her as he helped her off the table. �And yes I did lock the door.�
�We have to get those locks changed.� He sighed disgustedly. �And this is why we haven�t had sex in five months. No one leaves us the fuck alone so we can enjoy our marriage.� She didn�t say anything and picked up his shirt and threw it at him. She picked up her own shirt and put it on. �The last time we were alone together and tried to enjoy our quality time we were interrupted by our parents. And it didn�t help any with the way I was feeling about us not being able to have children. No one seems to care that we love each other and want to spend time alone. They keep telling us they want grandchildren, but won�t leave us alone to do it. Sweets, you and I both know they�re going to drive us insane.�

�I�m glad.� He stuck his shirt back on and went to button it, but stopped. �Did ya have to rip it open?�
�Did ya want to wait?� She smiled and he took her in his arms.
�I love you.�
�I love you.� He kissed her only to be interrupted.
�So are we going to have some cake or not?� Alexander questioned and they looked at him.
�We�ll be right there,� Nickolas said and Alexander just nodded not leaving the room. �Do ya mind? We�re kind of in the middle of something.�
�Oh right,� Alexander said winking and smiling as he walked out.
�Are you getting the picture?� Nickolas wanted to know and Sunshine nodded. �We had to get a surrogate because no one will let us make a baby.�
�It�ll happen,� Sunshine said. �I thought you didn�t want to get me pregnant right now.�
�Well, no, but that�s not the point. Our parents wanted a grandchild from us, but no one leaves us alone. They leave everyone else alone, but not us.�
�Then why don�t we go to our little place in Switzerland and spend some time alone. No one knows where it is. We can leave tonight and stay for a week or so.�
�I�d love to, Sweets.� She chuckled and walked from him. �What?�
�I�m waiting for the but.� He looked at her and sighed. �What is it this time?�
�The new album.�
She shook her head. �When do ya leave?�
He stuffed his hands in his pockets, lowered his head, and said, �Tomorrow.�
�Right.� She left out a disgusted sigh. �And when were you planning on telling me? As your wife it is my right to know where you�re going and when and not at the last minute.�
�Hey, guys, the ice creams going to melt,� Alexander said.
�Do you mind?� Sunshine snapped. Alexander held up his hands in defense and walked back out.
�Why are you so angry?� Nickolas questioned.
�Do you have to ask? My husbands leaving tomorrow and he didn�t even bother telling me until now. I have no other way to feel but angry. I took time off to be with you and you�re leaving.�
�You knew we were going to be doing this.�
�Yes I did, but you never said when.�
�It�s written on the desk calendar.�
�And I haven�t been in that room for awhile. You�re supposed to tell me things and not write them on some stupid fucking calendar.�
�Well I�m sorry.�
�Two months ago I could�ve started working on a movie with Viggo Mortensen, but I chose to take time off to be with you and get things ready for the baby.�
�No one told you to.�
�I did it because I love you!� They looked at each other and she took her hands over her face and through her hair. �And we haven�t been spending anytime together.�
�Don�t play the guilt trip, Sunnie, because it�s not going to work. You knew I had to go yet you�re going to stand there and act like you didn�t. You may be a good actor to strangers, but you don�t have me fooled.�
�You do this purposely, Nick, and I�m sick of it. All you want to do is fight with me and nothing more. I can�t keep doing this with you, Nicky. It hurts too much.� She quickly wiped her eyes and walked to the stairs.
�You�re such a drama queen.�
�Well excuse me if I don�t want to constantly fight with you!�
�Then you know where the door is if you don�t want to be in this marriage.� She stopped at the bottom of the stairs, but didn�t look at him as tears filled her eyes. �Maybe you should go be with Fischetti.� She shook her head. �I�m sure he can make your whole life perfect since it�s not perfect with me.�
�Go to hell.� She started up the stairs.
�When ya get that stick out of your ass let me know and I�ll bring ya a piece of cake.�
�You can take that cake and shove it up your fucking ass.�
�Why don�t I cover you in it and eat it off you?� Sunshine just ignored him and a few seconds later he heard a door slam. He shook his head and noticed his dad standing there. �How much did you hear?�
�All of it,� Robert said.
�I know you want to say something so just say it.�
�Do you love Sunshine?�
�God yes.�
�Then why pick fights with her like you�ve been doing.�
�Because I�m angry.�
�And Sunn�s the only one around.�
�I don�t mean to take it out on her it just happens.�
�She�s upset just as much as you are, but she doesn�t take it out on you.�
�I know that.�
�So why take it out on her and hurt her more.�
�I don�t know.�
�You�re upset over Sunshine�s condition, but you�re having a child now so you have to concentrate on that.�
�I try, but my mind keeps going back to why Sunnie can�t be the one to carry it. She can die if she does and that angers me.�
�Do you blame her?�
�No; I blame God. He did this to us.�
�God�s not to blame, Nick.�
�Then who is?�
�No one; it was supposed to be this way.�
�But I�m unhappy. I�m unhappy because I want my wife to have our children, but she can�t. Someone else has to have the baby for us and take away that joy and excitement we could be experiencing right now.�
�I understand, but you can�t give up hope.�
�That�s what Dr. Matheson said.
�Then listen to her.� Nickolas shook his head and sighed. �Then I guess I can�t help ya. You�re going to have to talk to your wife if you want this marriage to work.�

Robert just looked at his son as he walked out. He heard a noise and looked to see Sunshine running back upstairs.
