| Sunday, February 15, 2009 Sunshine and Nickolas never did finish dinner. They spent the rest of the night making love and satisfying each others desires. They were never satisfied though. They could never reach that satisfaction and just continued trying. They wanted each other and werent going to stop that wanting. There wasnt room for much conversation, but they didnt care. They had an erotic flame burning and they werent about to put it out. Nickolas laid beside his sleeping wife and held her in his arms. He watched her sleep peacefully and happily as he thought about what he was going to do to her. By the time this new day ended that happiness and peace she found the night before with him would be gone. He would be gone. Its not that he wanted it that way, but he felt it was for the best. For both of them. Sunshine wouldnt have to get hurt again and he wouldnt be the one hurting her. But she was going to get hurt. He was going to be the one to do itagain. But it would be fore the last time. She would be happier without him anyway. He loved her more than life itself, but he couldnt stay and keep hurting her. That night in Germany, when he broke the glass and cut her, he realized her had to leave. He needed to leave before he hurt her only God knows how much worse. He couldve left her anytime after that night, but he couldnt do it before Valentines Day. He knew how much that day meant to her. It meant a lot to him to. It was the day they got engaged; four years ago. In their hearts that was the day they got married. That was the day they promised to spend the rest of their lives together forever. He was about to break that promise though. And he hated himself. He wanted to talk to her about it, but he knew she would just talk him out of it. Thats the power she held over him. Anything she wanted he would just give in and give it to her. No matter what. Just one little glance and he was hers to do whatever. He had no problem with it, but it had to end. He was sure she knew that same truth someplace deep inside her. He sighed as he continued watching her sleep. He loved her. He honestly did. With all his heart, body, and soul even. That love was what brought him back to her the night before. That same love is what kept him with her through the night. That love is also the same love that continued their full night of erotic passion. Besides that he didnt want to leave her without giving her something to remember forever. A final night of pure ecstasy together. Love filled ecstasy. Love that was preventing him from getting out of that bed. It had to be done though. He couldnt risk hurting her worse than that night in Germany. Really it wasnt his fault though. Bradley knew how angry it made him when he came around. He didnt care though and just showed up. Although it was just for a moment it was enough to piss him off. Enough to get his blood boiling and hurt his own wife. To make her bleed. Bradley didnt care though just as long as he had something to blame Nickolas for. Sunshine protected him though. She made sure no one found out the truth of what really happened. She told them all she dropped the glass and fell while cleaning it up. No one was the wiser. Not even wise old Kevin. She was a terrific actress and could easily fool anyone. Including herself. He believed she had herself convinced of the lie. Hell, she almost had him convinced. Maybe it was better than the truth for her. At least she wouldnt have to hurt. He pushed the hair from her face and smiled. He kissed the top of her head and forced himself out of the bed. He got out slowly and quietly and fixed the covers. She stirred in her sleep and he prayed she wouldnt wake up. When she didnt he sighed and quietly got dressed. He stood there looking at her for a few moments then bent down and kissed her lips softly. I love you, Sweets, and Im sorry for doing this to you. With that he walked to the door and stopped. He sighed and ran his fingers through is hair. He looked at her once more as the tears filled his eyes. He watched her a couple minutes then turned and slowly walked from the room. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Sunshine reached for Nickolas, but all she got was a silk covered pillow. She sighed and rolled over, but didnt open her eyes. She didnt want to lose the images from last night that replayed in her mind. Nickolas sure made up for being away all day and she definitely forgave him. She smiled at the images and sighed delightedly. Instead of visions of sugar plums dancing through her head she had visions of ecstasy. Visions that made her want her husband again. She opened her eyes hoping he was standing there and watching her. But he wasnt. He wasnt standing there. He wasnt watching her. She was all alone. Again. It wasnt going to be like the day before. Nickolas was there, but just hiding. He loved playing games with her. She smiled and got out of bed. She put a pair of panties on and one of Nickolas t-shirts and walked from the room. She searched the whole condo looking for Nickolas, but didnt find him. No one was there. Not Nickolas. Not Drake. Not even Aaron. It was only her. Alone. Again. Everything was cleaned up, but she was still alone. Nickolas would probably be back any minute though. He wouldnt walk out and hurt her again. They meant too much to each other. She walked back to the bedroom and thats where she saw it. Lying on the pillow. Alone. The last thing Nickolas left her. A rose. A single red rose. CHAPTER 13 CHAPTER 15 HOME |
