| Hey, Aaron, Josephine said. Come in. Thanks, Aaron said stepping inside. What brings you by? I was wondering if you seen Nick. Not since this morning, Howard said. They said something about going to Brians this afternoon. I tried there and no ones home, Aaron said. I want him to look at this song I wrote. He wrote enough love songs since he met Sunn so I wanted his opinion. Do ya have it with ya? Howard asked. I can look it over. I guess, Aaron said taking a piece of paper from him shirt pocket. He unfolded it and went to hand it to Howard, but Josephine grabbed it. Guys know nothing about love songs, Josephine said. You need a womans opinion. Ill read it and let ya know if its any good. Aaron and Howard looked at each other then looked at Josephine, as she read over the song. No one said anything, as Josephine read and the two guys watched her. They saw a tear slide down her cheek and watched her wipe it away. For the next moment or so they just continued watching her. When she was done she looked at them and asked, What? How is it? Aaron asked. Very, very, very good, Josephine replied. If this aint about anyone special Ill It is. It came from the heart. Thats so sweet. The Carter Boys are so romantic. They get it from me, Howard said. Do you think shell like it? Aaron asked. Shell be crazy not to, Josephine replied. Its so sweet. Thanks, Aaron said. That was my goal. Why cant you write me a song like this? Josephine questioned Howard. I gave you a diamond ring, Howard stated. What more do you want? Josephine only smiled while looking at her ring and Howard took the paper from her and began reading. She thinks I can give her the world. If you want to marry me, yeah, Josephine snickered. Why dont you settle for an island named after you? Aaron suggested. Theres an idea, Josephine said. But not after me. Something original. Howard just shook his head. Ill let ya know. This is a good song, Howard said handing Aaron the piece of paper. I was hoping Nick could help me with the music, Aaron stated. I have no idea where you should look, Josephine said. Ill just come back if he doesnt come home, Aaron said getting up. If ya see him let him know Im looking for him. Sure thing, Howard said. Ill see yas later, Aaron said walking to the door. Later, Josephine and Howard said and Aaron went out the door then Howard said, I just hope that song aint for Sunn. I dont want to see what Nick will do. Neither do I, Josephine agreed. He might throw Aaron a beaten. Lets hope it doesnt come down to that. I called Sunn and Nicks caterer and hes free on the eighteenth. Thats great. So is Father McDonald. I believe the only thing that needs to be taken care of is the flower arrangement. I already got my dress taken care of and the girls. I got the tuxes taken care of also. They kissed. Actually we need to find a place for the reception. Thats right. What about the park? And what if it decides to rain? Youre right. Tabu? It could work. Lets just give it some more time and thought. Whatever just as long as we get married. We will I promise. Josephine just smiled and kissed him. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Kevin and Venus sat in front of the candle filled fireplace. Kevin wanted a nice quiet romantic special evening for just him and Venus. He made a nice dinner and set it up in the parlor. He had candles lit all around the room and some nice romantic music playing in the background to set the mood. He sat across the table from Venus and looked at her. He smiled, as she finished up her meal and looked at him. She took a sip of her wine and said, That was great, Kevin. Im glad you liked it, Kevin replied. This whole evening is great. Im glad you like it. They smiled. Did I deserve something to get an evening like this? Must I have a reason to give you a romantic evening? Cant our love for each other be reason enough? Im sorry. I just never got an evening like this before. Well theres going to be more to come in the future. I cant wait. She smiled and leaned over the table and kissed him. Hows work going for you? Its going great. I love my job. I love my life. I love you. I love you too. I have pretty much I ever wanted and I couldnt ask for more. What if you could ask for one more thing? She looked at him. What would it be? I dont know. There still is a lot of things I wouldnt mind having. Im talking about one thing you would absolutely want; more than anything. What would it be? What is that one thing? To spend the rest of my life with the man I love. Kevin smiled. Marriage? If it came to that; yes. I would love to marry the man I love more than anything. And I would love to marry the woman I love more than anything. They both smiled and Michael Boltons song Said I Loved You But I Lied came on and Kevin stood up. Theyre playing our song. May I have this dance? Yes. Venus stuck her hand in his and got up. They shared a kiss then started dancing. They danced for a moment or so then Kevin said, Venus. Yeah. She looked at him. Will you marry me? They stopped dancing and Venus just looked at him for the longest time. Dont keep me waiting in anticipation? Seriously? Yeah seriously. I love you more than anything and I want to marry you. I want us to spend the rest of our lives together. Then yes Ill marry you. Youre the man I love more than anything. She threw her arms around him and they kissed. Now I dont have a ring so ya know. She looked at him. I didnt want to pick out a ring for you and you not be happy with it. So tomorrow I want to take you to find the ring of your dreams. It doesnt matter. Any ring would have been fine, because it would come from you. She kissed him again. You just made me the happiest Ive ever been. Im glad. She kissed him again then hugged him.
