Danielle and Brian sat at Brian�s in Brian�s parlor and waited for Nickolas and Sunshine to arrive. They were excited and nervous and getting rather impatient. Danielle stood up and started pacing the room, as Brian watched her.
Brian just watched her a moment then said, �Baby, quit pacing. You�re making me more nervous about this.�
�I�m sorry,� Danielle said. �I just can�t wait any longer.�
�They�ll be here any minute.�
�I just want to share this exciting news with them.� She looked at the marquee style diamond ring on her left hand. �We�re getting married.�
�That we are.� Brian got up and walked over to her.
He put his arms around her, as she said, �I love you.�
�I love you.� They kissed.
�We�re here,� Sunshine interrupted, as she and Nickolas stepped into the parlor and Danielle and Brian smiled. �You guys seem extra happy.�
�We are,� Brian said. �We need to tell you guy's something and want you to be the first to know.�
�Please sit,� Danielle said, as Nickolas and Sunshine sat on the love seat and Danielle and Brain sat on the sofa. �We have two things to tell you.�
�Both good I hope,� Sunshine said.
�Very good,� Brian said.
�What is it?� Nickolas asked and Danielle smiled, as she held out her left hand to reveal the diamond. �Is that��
�Holy fuck!� Sunshine yelled and they just looked at her, as she grabbed Danielle�s hand. �When did this happen?�
�Tuesday,� Danielle said, as Sunshine examined the ring.
�When�s the big day?� Nickolas asked.
�Very nice,� Sunshine said. �Who�s your maid-of-honor?�
�You I hope,� Danielle replied and Sunshine looked at her.
�And I�m hoping you�ll be my best man, Nick,� Brian stated. Sunshine and Nickolas just looked at each other. �We�re getting married tomorrow.�
�Excuse us?� Nickolas said.
�Did we hear you right?� Sunshine questioned. �Did you say tomorrow?�
�Yes you did,� Danielle said. �We�re hoping you�ll be our witnesses and come to Vegas with us tonight.�
�Wow!� Sunshine said sitting beside Nickolas again.
�Are you sure about this?� Nickolas asked.
�We talked about it and are very sure,� Brian replied. �So will you come with us and share this experience?�
Sunshine and Nickolas looked at each other and in unison said, �Sure.�
�Good,� Danielle said.
�What�s the other thing?� Nickolas wanted to know.
�First we want you to know it�s not the reason we�re getting married,� Brian said. �We�re getting married because we love each other.�
�Like me and Sunnie,� Nickolas smirked.
�Something like that,� Danielle said.
�What is it?� Sunshine asked.
�We�re going to have a baby,� Danielle and Brian said simultaneously. Sunshine and Nickolas only looked at each other then at the couple, not knowing what to say. �Ain�t that wonderful?�
�Um�yeah,� Nickolas stated.
�Is Nick and me the only ones that believe in birth control?� Sunshine questioned getting up.
�Why?� Danielle asked. �Who else is pregnant?�
�No one that I know of, but I wouldn�t be surprised if Jo ends up pregnant.� They just looked at her. �I can�t believe this.�
�What�s wrong, Sunn?� Sunshine looked at Danielle. �Do you want to have a baby?� Nickolas smiled.
�No I don�t want to have a baby. I could careless if I ever have a baby.� Nickolas� smile faded and he looked at the floor. �I just wish people would wait to stop using protection until after they get married. If they end up pregnant who says they�ll stick by each others side. I�m waiting until I�m married and in a couple years if at all.� Danielle and Brian looked at Nickolas, as he got up and left the room. Danielle looked at Sunshine and Brian went after Nickolas. �What?�
�Did you and Nick ever talk about having kids?�
�No. Are we married yet? No, so there�s no need to talk about it. Why?�
�Because I think you just hurt him more than you ever did.�
�What?�
�He just got up and walked out.�
�He always does that. It doesn�t mean anything.�
�Didn�t you see the look on his face? If I didn�t know any better I believe he was ready to cry.�
�Danielle, he�s fine. He probably had to go to the bathroom.�
�What�s your problem?�
�Nothing.� She walked over to the window.
�Sunn, you can�t lie to me.� She continued looking out the window. �What is it?�
�I�m just so stressed about everything,� Sunshine lied.
�Like what?�
�The wedding, the upcoming movie, the interview for People magazine, the movie the end of June with Johnny Depp.� She chuckled. �Yeah; I�m torn between my dream to work with Johnny Depp and my commitment to Nick and our wedding.�
�Why�s that?�
�The wedding is May 20 and they want me at a reading that day for the movie with Johnny. I told them I was getting married that day and they said it�s either show up or say bye-bye to the very generous twenty million in the contract. That�s a lot of zero�s.�
�Yeah; I don�t know what to tell you.�
�I love Nick very much and waited for the day we�d get married. I also waited for the day to work with Johnny Depp. They both come true and have to be on the same day. I never win.�
�Yes you do.� Sunshine only looked at her. �You won Nick�s heart four years ago.� Sunshine smiled. �You won the most important thing in your life�Nickolas. Look me in the eye and tell me that your acting is more important than Nick.� Sunshine didn�t say anything. �It�s not. Nick will take care of you the rest of your life if he has to; Johnny Depp won�t.� Sunshine smirked. �Sunshine, you might get another offer for twenty mill, but you may never get an offer like Nick�s again. It comes once in your life.�
�I know and Nick�s more important than anything.�
�Good. Now go tell him you�ll have his babies.�
�It�s not that simple, Dani. Having kids is the farthest thing from my mind right now. I�m taking it one year at a time. I don�t want to have kids for a few more years.� Danielle just looked at Sunshine, as she looked out the window again.

Nickolas left Brian in the kitchen and walked out on the back porch. He didn�t know what to thin about Sunshine�s decision not to have children. It hurt him, because he always believed Sunshine would want to have his children. He loved Sunshine more than anything, but the thought of never having any children of his own with her really hurt. It even made him question his future with Sunshine.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard Brian say, �Nick, you can�t let this baby thing ruin your plans to marry Sunn. Just because she may not want to have your children doesn�t mean she stopped loving you. She�ll love you until the day she dies.�
�I know, Brian,� Nickolas stated. �We talked about a lot of things, but having children. I honestly thought she wanted children someday, but I find out she may not want any.�
�It hurts you, doesn�t it?�
�Yeah.�
�Does it change the way you feel about her?�
�Of course not. I don�t love her any less.�
�You should talk to her. You�re getting married so you guys need to talk about your future together. Talk about one day having a family and being grandparents.�
�Brian, I�m twenty-five and not fifty-five. I have a long wait to be a grandfather. I�m not even married yet. Maybe Sunnie�s right, we should just wait until after we�re married to talk about having kids.�
�Nick, if you don�t talk about it now it just might put distance between you two. If you tell her how you feel maybe it�ll change her mind about it. I think she�d do just about anything for you� including giving you a family.�
�I�m just surprised about the way she feels of having kids. I mean, she�s great around kids and wants to help the unfortunate ones.�
�A lot of people are like that, but really don�t want any of their own. Apparently Sunn�s one of them.�
�I just wish there was a way to change her mind.�
�Talk to her. That�s all I can tell you.� Nickolas didn�t say anything. �We leave at five if you�re still going to stand beside me.�
�Definitely. I wouldn�t want to miss it. I can watch you and prepare myself. I can find out what to expect for my big day. I missed Alex�s big day.�
�You can see Howie�s.�
�Yeah; Mr. Player himself is getting married. I can�t picture it.�
�But it�s happening.�
�Yeah.� They stood there a few minutes. �I should go get Sunnie so we can go pack a suitcase.�
�You�re going to talk to her right?�
�Yeah; I don�t want anything else to go wrong.�
�I�m glad to hear that.�
�When�s Danielle due?�
�The doctor said June 10.�
�And Des is due in March. They can go to school together and form their own music group.�
�They can be the Backstreet Kids.�
�Something like that.�
�Hey, Boys,� Danielle interrupted, as she and Sunshine stepped outside. �It�s three.�
�Yeah,� Brian said, as he pushed Nickolas over to Sunshine.
�What�s the itinerary for tomorrow?� Sunshine asked.
�Find a photographer, get married, get pictures, go out to eat, and leave for Spain,� Danielle replied.
�Easy enough I guess,� Sunshine said.
�We were also wondering if you guys could, like, arrange a reception type thing for when we get back,� Brian said. �For friends and family.�
�It doesn�t need to be fancy,� Danielle said. �We�ll pay for it.�
�I guess we can,� Nickolas said and Sunshine nodded.
�We�ll make a list of what we want so you won�t have to guess,� Brian stated.
�No problem,� Nickolas said. �For what day?�
�We were thinking the nineteenth,� Danielle replied.
�Taking a two week honeymoon,� Sunshine said. �Sounds like a plan.� Nickolas just looked at her.
�You guys better go,� Brian said. �We�ll meet ya outside the airport about 4:30.�
�Sounds good,� Nickolas said. �Later.�
�Later,� the other three said and Nickolas just walked away not taking Sunshine�s hand as usual. Sunshine just looked at him and then at Danielle and Brian who just shrugged. Sunshine slowly walked away and wondered what she did so wrong this time; minus the baby thing.
