In July and August each year, the Adult Choir of
St. Luke's Lutheran Church takes a well deserved break. Last year [2008] a music program was initiated and called the "Summer Soloist Series". Individuals from our church family were invited to praise God through music during the Offering of our Sunday services. Our summer volunteers worked hard, practiced faithfully and added a unique and beautiful quality to our services. All of the participants love music and we who got to listen were most grateful that they shared such musical talents with us. This summer music program gives those individuals a chance to praise God and shine! Last year's summer music program was so well received that, early in January, 2009, Sheila heard comments in the hopes that "we'll do that again"! So, with God's grace and good planning, we are looking forward to the second year's Summer Soloist Program, which will begin on Sunday, July 12th, 2009.
