| Episode 2: Frodo (arguing with Gandalf): I still can�t believe you thought that I signed my name on that waiver. And now you�re making me go and destroy the Ring? Gandalf: Well, at this point in the story, you only have to get to Rivendell. But go to Bree first, it seems that Aragorn�s got a part in this, too. Oh yeah, and don�t forget Merry and Pippin. Keep up, Samwise! Sam: I really don�t want to be a part of this� I�m only comin� �cause I don�t want Mr. Saruman to turn me into anythin� unnatural! (Camera cuts to later; Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin are walking down the road) Frodo: Get off the road! I think then maybe the film crew people won�t be able to see us! (A rider completely shrouded in black comes up, and the hobbits run) (The rider removes its hood only to reveal the face of a cameraperson) Rider: Hey, wait, come back! We were only trying to better blend in with the whole story concept thing! You have a contract! Come back! (Camera cuts to Bree; the view is from a hidden camera that they�ve installed in the common room of the inn) Frodo (to Mr. Butterbur): My name is Underhill. Do you know where I could hire a security guard to get this film crew away from me? Mr. Butterbur: Oh, FOX already told us what�s goin� on. We can�t keep the film people away, sorry. Pippin (to Merry): It comes in pints? I�m getting one! Pippin then thinks, �Maybe I can get so drunk that I�ll be censored for the sake of the family audiences.� (Frodo, in a moment of desperation, puts on the Ring so that he can become invisible and not be in this whole TV thing. Frodo then sees the Eye of Sauron- hereafter written as EoS) EoS: Go back to normal! I was watching this!!!! It�s the best program that Middle-Earth has had since the First Age! If you don�t, I�ll wreak havoc and destruction by wielding a power too great and terrible to imagine! (Frodo removes the ring, and is promptly grabbed by Aragorn) Aragorn: You call far too much attention to yourself, Mr. Underhill. But I don�t care because it means that the film people aren�t focusing on me! Are you frightened? Frodo: Yes Aragorn: Not nearly frightened enough. Do you realize how many people are watching this? Frodo (shakes head): We must get away. Aragorn: I have some of it planned out. The film crew thinks you�re in the room on the other side of the hall. We can leave at first light. They might take awhile to be able to see us without sunlight (Unbeknownst to Aragorn, the film crew has night-vision cameras) Aragorn: I already have a plan for avoiding them. Frodo: What is it? Aragorn: See, I�m not gonna wash my hair for the rest of this series. Maybe the viewers at home will be so nauseated that they won�t look at me anymore. Frodo: Whoa, good idea! Wish I�d thought of that Sam (comes bursting into the room w/Merry and Pippin. Sam�s fists are up, Merry is carrying some candles, and Pippin�s holding a stool) Sam: The film people told us to come in here and attack you so that we could create conflict and �stir things up a bit� they said they really wanted to see backstabbing and betrayal. Frodo: Who are these film people, anyway? Aragorn: They are the Filmcrew, the nine. They will never stop filming you. (At this moment, they do stop filming because they failed to give the hidden camera in this room enough videotape) |
