Freedom & The Creator*

"A man can be free even within prison walls. Freedom is something spiritual. Whoever has once had it, can never lose it. There are some people who are never free outside a prison". (Unknown)

The quotation captures the heart of the creator and these pages. Freedom does not lie outside brick walls or steel fences, but within the confines of one's mind and heart. These pages propose that all freedoms - physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual - are linked. One can only be wholly free when all aspects of their own being is free.

Being truly oneself is not an easy task - often individuals, family, society, cultures and norms attempt to mould, modify or "repair" us in order to conform to an acceptable version of what a person should or ought to be. I cannot deny that we are a product of our environment, but what I propose here is that sometimes environment takes an upper hand, a stronger position than a person's true will. We cannot all be hermits or deny that some external influence is beneficial or even necessary, but it should be the individual who decides, not society or traditions.

These pages are not just to guide those who are lost or trapped in the jungle of norm but they are a path which the creator has cleared in an attempt to free herself from life's constraints.

These pages speak of human rights, right rights, wrong rights (if such exist) and ultimately spiritual rights and freedom. We often hear of human attrocities in the world, reading it in newspapers, watching it on television. We feel enraged, hopefully of the sheer denial of human rights to certain people or peoples of the world, to certain cultures, ethnic groups, religious groups and so on so forth. Our own human attrocity, though less life-threatening (perhaps) than the world's, is often if not always forgotten or denied.

This one is for personal freedom.

The Creator.
