WILD AT HEART
by John Eldredge
Reviewed by: Jillian Lin

Hi everyone,

I finished reading John Eldredge's "Wild at Heart" last night and immediately thought, "I have to tell everyone about this book!" So ok, the subtitle of the book is: "Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul" and I am not a man and neither is the friend who told me that I had to read this book. And, yes, the book is primary written for men. And yet, I found that God was still speaking to me clearly, in exciting ways, in empowering ways as I read this book. Many times, the wisdom found in this book applies not just to men but to our walk with God, period.

Single women: yes, this book will throw down a challenge to the kind of man you're looking to marry; but men, take heart, it is not the kind of 'why can't you do this or that better' nagging. I honestly believe that this is encouragement that seeks after freedom - something that I am learning goes hand in hand with love.

Women: I think you'll also find, as I have found, how much God really is the author of everything that we want our men to be, and be encouraged to re-ignite our love affair with our Lord and look to Him to fill our deepest needs. (Eldredge is co-author of "The Sacred Romance," which I am reading now.)

I'm telling you, people, put this book on your Christmas lists, buy it for your friends. For you frugal people out there, I got mine off of Buy.com for roughly $10 + free shipping - that's almost half price for a hardcover. Really, you won't be sorry.

Grace and Peace,
Jillian Lin
