Rame Church
The final resting place of many Seafarers

Cornish Landmarks
Rame chapel
Rame head
Seafarers Graves

This church is located just behind the prominent headland of Rame head.  It was consecrated in 1259 and dedicated to St Germanus. The church has the unusual feature of still being candle lit.
Its graveyard is evidence of the power of the sea as within it can be found the graves of many seafarers drowned at sea.
