Tasmin Thylacine

Tasmin is the keeper of secrets. She has always represented the unknown in my life. She has taught me that sometimes the best way to protect ourselves from unwanted attention is to slip into the shadows and keep a low profile. Naturally, some things in life should stay hidden away from others in order to live peacefully. Tasmin came to me at a time when I was having a hard time understanding why this had to be so, at the time in my life between youth and adulthood. Tasmin lives for the moment, always on the move. As a nomad, she makes her temporary quarters inside a dry, shallow cave or stone den which she decorates with cannabis leaves and poppy pods. She arises just before dusk to hunt, or if she is feeling particularly tired or under the weather she will forage for carrion. Although she is cautious and often overly so, it is for good reason. People are unpredictable, and she is well aware how few and far in between others of her species are.

The kind of wild environment Tasmin prefers.

Tasmin is an enigma, primarily female and a shapeshifter like Tacoma, but unlike Tacoma the only thing she can change are her reproductive organs. She had originally adapted to switch out sex organs due to the first thylacine she encountered being female. She has never seen a male of her kind, and has not crossed paths with any others since the forementioned. Thankfully, thylacines are not pack animals so she has never felt the need for companions, other nonhuman species make fine company if they can earn her trust.

More information about Thylacinus cynocephalus, the creature Tasmin is based off of, can be found at The Thylacine Museum.
