An education seminar on Workers Compensation targeted the Asian Employers in Australia was held on 26th November 2004 at Carton Crest Hotel - Sydney. This was jointly organised by accredited rehabilitation provider Synergy Medical Pty Ltd and WorkCover NSW.

|
“Australian employers are too focused on business development, and very often overlooked the importance of workers compensation and OH&S issues …” said Ms Janet Hung, the director of Synergy Medical Pty Ltd, “This seminar aims to increase the awareness of Workplace Injury Management of Asian employers in Australia, thus preventing work-related injuries and reducing employers’ insurance premium.”

Asian employers are constantly struggling with the management of work-related injuries, which is mainly due to the lack of knowledge and support provided by relevant parties. This often leads to unnecessary delays in the return to work and reoccurrence of work injuries. In return, this lead to further increase in associated insurance premium of the employers.
