| We moved onto the boat just after Easter. The day we put up the masts, I (Kathy) fell through a missing board on the dock and broke my arm! As a consequence, my brother-in-law Paul helped Bob sail the boat through Lake Erie, down the Welland Canal, and across Lake Ontario, to Bronte. | ||||||||||

In the rough and windy conditions on the St. Lawrence we often sailed with only a partial headsail, easily making 4 knots or more. Tides and currents are severe, and the waves reflect from the rocky shorelines. |
