Easy Go's Trip From Port Stanley
to Ville de Gaspe
We moved onto the boat just after Easter. The day we put up the masts, I (Kathy) fell through a missing board on the dock and broke my arm! As a consequence, my brother-in-law Paul helped Bob sail the boat through Lake Erie, down the Welland Canal, and across Lake Ontario, to Bronte.
At the dock in Port Stanley, on Lake Erie.

In the rough and windy conditions on the St. Lawrence we often sailed with only a partial headsail, easily making 4 knots or more. Tides and currents are severe, and the waves reflect from the rocky shorelines.
I rejoined the boat at Bronte where I completed the sailcovers, and we visited with family.

After very pleasant sailing and gunk-holing through the Thousand Islands, we spent a week in Quebec City. Then on to the picturesque trip down the St Lawrence, where there are very few places to anchor.
