Miyazaki really is a special place.. the California of Japan it has tropical weather, beaches with great surf, a lot of space, parks and museums, friendly people.
We went to places like Heiwadi Park..actually a monument to Japanese imperialism built during the war with stones from all of the conquered countries. We went out to Aya to vist an organic farm, a winery and a virgin forest.
We met up with my old friend Eiko Aseana at a restaurant with the SERVAS members. I used my Gome bicycle found at the supermarket to visit some of the museums and beaches.
