There are three pass criterias in this unit which are Pass, Merit and Distinction.

In unit 03 Computer Systems for the Pass criteria students will learn the different components of a computer system, how data flows around the computer system and how to connect hardware safely to a computer system.

For the Merit criteria students will need to expand their work and will learn the different ways to connect to a computer system and the health and safety procedures of connecting hardware devices to the computer.

Distinction criteria includes learning the alternative setups and students will also need to discuss how the configuration of the software will help a given user perform their tasks.
