Tour Notes

My diary notes  on the tour...
-: Thursday, Nov 4, 2003 (First day) :-
3.50 am:	Karthik, Prasanth and Karthik's brother picked me from my home. We reached Tandem by 4.00 am.
4.30 am:	Our Bus started for the journey. The name of air bus, 'Leisure Tours'.
7.30 am:	We reached Allapuzha. We had our breakfast from Hotel Annapoorna, which is right opposite to the Income Tax office there. I had a Ghee Roast & Coffee.
8.30 am:	Left Allapuzha.
1.30 pm:	Reached Malappuram. We had our lunch (a bad one).
2.00 pm:	Left Malappuram.
6.00 pm:	Reached Wayanad. We saw Thamaraserry Churam on the way, had a coffee also.
6.50 pm:	Reached Kalpetta. The climate was very cold & surroundings were very calm. Beautiful place. We stayed that night in a three star Hotel Harithagiri. Robin sir told 4 students should share a 2 bedded room. As planned, Arun (donald), Karthik, Prasanth & me selected a room according to our wish. That was Room No.309. After taking bath, all of us went outside & bought 7up, etc and returned room. We also had a buffet dinner (a nice one, compensated the lunch). I had 4 Chappathis with side-dish Gobi Manjurian. The TV switch has got some problems, so I called the reception and made it corrected by one hotel boy. We have seen F-Tv for over 2 hrs, Arun was passing comments on each model girls. At last we slept, in his kathi.
-: Friday, Nov 5, 2003 (Second day) :-
8.00 am:	Left Kalpetta.
12.45 pm:	Reached Mysore. Stayed at Hotel Siddartha, Room No.413. We had a nice Karnataka style lunch. We visited Mysore Palace, Brindavan Garden. We saw and attracted the Musical fountain in Brindavan Garden.
8.30 pm:	Returned to hotel and had a buffet dinner. A good one including Nan, Paneer masala & fried rice with onion & tomatoes. After that we slept.
-: Saturday, Nov 6, 2003 (Third day) :-
7.00 am:	We had Breakfast (Iddali & bread-butter-jam)
8.30 am:	We went to Chamundi Hills & visited Chamundi Temple. I bought laddu prasadam from the temple.
3.00 pm:	Reached Ooty and had lunch from a kerallite hotel. A nice lunch with Rice, Sambar, Cabage Thoran, Kootu, pappadam & pickle.
4.00pm :	We went for boating. We 4 took a 4 seater peddle boat, had a 30 minutes boating.
5.00 pm:	Reached Hotel Tamil Nadu, a TTDC Hotel where we stayed. We got refreshed at the hotel.
5.30 pm:	We went for shopping. Visited the famous Tibeten Refugees' market.
7.45 pm:	Returned to hotel and had a buffet dinner (chappathis, Boori, Potato curry, Masala curry, Gobi Munjurian, etc).
9.15 pm:	Then we had a Campfire. We didn't get enough time, Robin sir stopped it after hardly we finished an hour.
-: Sunday, Nov 7, 2003 (Fourth day) :-
7.15 am:	We left the hotel & reached Botanical Garden, Ooty and spent 1 hour there. i.e from (8.30am to 9.30am)
1.30 pm:	We reached Mettupalayam, Black Thunder (An amusement park) amd spent till 4.30pm there. Then we left.
6.30 pm:	We reached Coimbatore (new name 'Kovai') and parked our bus in a pay-n-park at Ranigund (a place). The bus was parked near to the 'Only Vimal' showroom in the famous 'Big Bazaar Street'. We had a small shopping there too.
7.30 pm:	We left Kovai for the return journey to Trivandrum. (I don't remember the time, but we had our dinner at a restaurant near Palakkad highway (a bad one).
-: Monday, Nov 8, 2003 (Fifth day) :-
5.30 am:	We reached Tandem.
