7.31.02 Another OLDE STYLE show is scheduled for 9:30pm, this Friday, 8.2.02 at the Nevin's Live in Evanston! Nevin's Live is located at 1450 Sherman Ave. in Evanston, three blocks north of Dempster.

7.11.02 Bestcellar is performing live at the Big Horse Lounge on Saturday, 7.20.02 at 10pm. Aldis, Geoff and Joe from Olde Style will back him up onstage.
7.10.02 The Me Decade have just agreed to terms with Spade Kitty to have the label release their stunning debut record _Gentrification is Theft_ (SK017). They will be performing live at The Note on Friday 7.12.02 at 11pm. The Note is located at 1565 N. Milwaukee.!
6.11.02 Bestcellar is still muddling over the live mix from the Big Horse Lounge show and deciding whether the document is fit for release. He may very well opt to re-record the record at another venue later this summer. We'll keep you posted in the future plans section!

5.22.02 So much to tell, so little space! Olde Style's brand new album "rockwell" is finally set to be released! We just got the discs back from the presser TODAY and the record release party is next WEDNESDAY NIGHT, May 29th, at the Beat Kitchen (2100 W. Belmont Ave., 773.281.4444)! We'll be playing with Penny Dreadful and the Pillowmints. The show starts at 9pm!!!
03.13.02 Olde Style is finishing up their debut at Uberstudios today and it should be in the can by the end of this month! The band is extremely excited!!! The album has 13 tracks on it and is about 45 minutes long. Also, Olde Style has gigs on March 24th at the Beat Kitchen (8pm) and on April 14th at the Lyons Den (10pm) Check the calendar page for more info!
02.27.02 Folk You!, a songwriter's showcase hosted by Larry O. Dean of Post Office, is having its monthly gig at the Beat Kitchen TONIGHT! It starts at 9pm. The Beat Kitchen's address is 2100 W. Belmont. For more info on the lineup and upcoming gigs, please check the calendar page.
02.14.02 I've added more reviews for Fables In Slang, and plan on putting the rest of the Lyrics up for Bestcellar this weekend. Also, I plan on scanning all the artwork I have very soon, so keep checking on that section too.
02.12.02 We're back after a few days off! I've edited the reviews section so that you can check out the reviews for each disc separately. There are some GREAT reviews for Fables In Slang ! Make sure you read the ones that are up now and keep checking back for more.
02.08.02 Olde Style HAS CONFIRMED that they are going into the Uberstudios to record their upcoming full-length record on March 9th! The band is planning to lay down 10-15 tracks. We'll report back when we have more details.
02.06.02Post Office has booked a gig at the Empty Bottle on Monday, March 11th! They're playing second, bookended between headliner Ten Ten (Jerry's other fabulous band) and Cameron McGill, who will open the show solo. The evening's festivities start around 9pm. Check the calendar page for details and more gigging! Also, Olde Style has set aside March 9th as the big studio date with Uberstudios. We'll give you all the details as soon as we know them!
02.05.02 We're THRILLED to announce that Post Office has been selected to participate in the International Pop Overthrow festival's Chicago leg, happening ALL OVER TOWN from March 24th to April 13th! They will be performing on Monday, April 8th at Nevin's Live in Evanston, kicking off the evening at the fine hour of 7pm! We've put this and all other future plans of the Spade Kitty artists in another new section, tentatively called future plans. Please check this section often, as it will provide countless hours of water cooler talk for all our fans!
02.04.02 Every month the interviews section of the website will feature an interview with a Spade Kitty Artist. The February artist of the month is Bestcellar. Click here to read the website interview with him. Olde Style will be going into the studio in March with the hopes of completing their first full-length. Stay tuned to the website for more details!
02.02.02 Happy Groundhog's Day! More Post Office and Bestcellar lyrics are up and hanging out in the lyrics section. As soon as I can get to a scanner the rest of the new sections will be up. Cheers!
02.01.02 Well, I've started six more sections of the website! It will probably be a few days before all of them are active, but for now some of the DIY section is up. The DIY section is a primer on how to start a record label which a lot of people have asked me to describe over the years. The calender page is also up for February, and we're working on getting the next gigs up there soon! I should have the rest of the lyrics up this weekend.
01.31.02 Most of the Olde Style lyrics have been added. We'll be putting up the rest, as well as more Bestcellar and Post Office lyrics next week. Also, the calendar page is finally up and running, although there are still no gigs to speak of. We'll get on that soon! Finally, last night, I finally heard the recording of the Big Horse Lounge Bestcellar show. The CD sounds great! Thanks to Brad for doing all the sound work.
01.30.02 I finished a links table for the website so you can navigate without using the back button. The table appears at the bottom of each section page. Some more Olde Style lyrics have also been added in the lyrics section. Keep checking back, things are changing at an incredible pace!
01.29.02 The lyrics page is up! We plan on eventually providing lyrics for all the Olde Style and Bestcellar songs you know and love. Right now, Gentlemen of Obscurity and Kelvin Thrust are up, but check back because more lyrics will be added throughout the week.
01.28.02 The website is almost at a stage where we can called it "complete". I have a few more photos to add, some reviews, hopefully some Bestcellar lyrics and all Spade Kitty artists' gigs to the gigs page. I will also add some clips of music to the music files as soon as we figure out what we want to display there.
01.27.02 Fever Dog has officially changed it's name to Olde Style. We hope all of our fans love the change as much as we do! The rechristening took place at 9pm at Tiggleopolis. No drums were injured during the proceedings.
