Woohoo! Another pound gone!� I know most people lose much more
by their 10th day of induction, but I am still happy.� (I lost 12lbs my first week
of induction the first time I was on this diet) I am just thankful that I am doing as well
as I am this time. I have tried to start this diet over many times in the last couple of
years and I always have problems. (praying sure helps when you are dieting) My hubby has
lost 5lbs as of today.
On another note...yesterday was mine and my hubby's anniversary.
� He bought me a ZipCD/CD-RW/DVD player!� : D : D� Now not only can I
record CDs, but I can watch movies on my computer.�

Lost another 1/2 lb! Yeah!� Sure was glad to see that.� I managed to
drink more water last night.� I've been going to the atkins support board.
� There are really nice people there. They're there to congratulate you when you are
doing well and pick you up when you fall. I joined the August challenge they have going
on.� My goal is to lose 10lbs, drink more water and walk 5 times a week.� I know
I can handle the water and walking part, but the 10 lbs is going to be a challenge for me
considering how I've been losing so slow so far.� I was on this diet in '91, so I
know how it starts off fast and slows down the closer you get to your goal.� (as most
diets do) I'm still very overweight though, so hopefully the 10 lbs will be reachable.

Well, I'm the same again. I don't really know what is going on.� The first time I
weighed, I had gone up.� I kept weighing and then waiting a few minutes and I weighed
different nearly every time.� I did weight the same as yesterday several times, so I
stuck with that.� We have a digital scale, which had a new battery put in it about a
week ago, so I know the battery isn't getting low.�
Now, on to how much I weight.� I am getting very discouraged.� I really
need to see the scale moving downward.� I mean, come on, 12 days of dieting and only
4 lbs to show for it??? I don't know whether to just quit or try something different.
� My weekly weigh-in for my goal is Saturday morning.� I have to lose another
pound by then.� I don't see it happening.� The people on the atkins board talk
about doing different things for a few days: Meat fast (eating ONLY meat), Shake fast
(eating only atkins or ketoshakes), a low fat reversal diet (eating a low fat diet for a
few days), and stuff like that. There is no way I could do the low-fat one.� I have
never been good at doing that!� I don't have any low-carb shakes, so I can't do that
either.� I don't know what to do.� I tend to get constipated on this diet if I
am not very careful, so I don't think I want to try the meat fast either.� I'm just
so frustrated.� What is so bad is that my TOM will be here around next Tuesday. (5
days away)� I usually don't get my water gain until a couple of days before.� I
KNOW I am gonna weigh a lot by Monday.� I sure hope that I don't get that gain before
Saturday.� Oh well, enough babbling.�

To Date: 4 lbs. Lost
Arggghhh! I am still stuck at the same weight.� Unless something major
happens, I will not be reaching my goal of 2 1/2 lbs. this week. I have to drop a pound by
tomorrow.� I really thought that I had lost some when I got up this morning. �
Maybe it will show up tomorrow.� I did very well on my water yesterday. I drank 128
oz.� Yeah!� That's the first time I have drank all of my water. � The thing
is, when you drink a lot of water, it dilutes your urine, so ketosis doesn't show up as
well.� I tested it this morning and I am back at moderate. � After drinking so
much water last night, I showed negative right before bed.�
I've been pretty frustrated the last week.� I really want to see a
difference.� I told my hubby that I will give this another 1-2 weeks.� If
something doesn't give, then I will. I don't necessarily have to see weight loss, but I
have to see a loss in inches...or the way my clothes feel.�

Sorry I did not write yesterday. I was very depressed.� I did not reach
my goal of losing 2 1/2 lbs. this week.� As of yesterday, I had lost 4 lbs total,
only 1 1/2 for the week.� I lost a half pound this morning, so I am up to 4
1/2.� My hubby is up to 7 now : (� Don't get me wrong, I am very proud of him,
but it just doesn't seem fair that I really eat less carbs than him, yet he loses more. He
snacks on vienna sausage, eats lots of cheese, etc., and he loses more!�
Argghhh!� Up until this point, we have stayed within a pound of each other, but now
he is leaving me behind. Oh well. I will continue on for a while.� Maybe my
"whoosh fairy" will come soon.� We have been extremely busy lately and have
not exercised! Shame on us!

Yeah! Finally! Over 5 lbs. now. I'm nearing 190. I will be so glad
when I get back to the 180's, especially to at least 182.5.� That is what I weighed
when I married, so I could at least get back in the jeans I was wearing
then.�(7/31/99) I have very few pair of pants I can wear now.� I don't want to
go out and buy a lot of new pairs.� I'd rather lose the weight!
It is unbelievable how low my weight loss has been, but I thank God for every
pound gone anyway!� I know one of the reasons I am having a hard time.� Although
I have been drinking a lot of water, I am addicted to Diet Mountain Dew.� Ahhh
yes...caffeine.� I was reading on a page about it.� Its the worst of the diet
drinks.� It not only has mega-caffeine, the second ingredient is Concentrated Orange
Juice.� Big No-No.� But I will tell ya like I tell my hubby.� If I give up
those, I might as well throw down the diet right now.� That is all I have drank for
YEARS now.� I can tolerate a few other kinds(diet drinks)� here and there, but
it is to me like coffee is to some.� I AM drinking less of them though. (when you're
drinking a gallon of water a day- there's less room for dew's)� Also, I am drinking
the Kroger Brand now. Yes it is similar, but Orange juice is #6 on the ingredients. �
At least I am trying to do better.
Now that I am finally losing, it's gonna get bad again.� I am due for a visit
from TOM today.� It is kinda strange that I would have Lost a pound today.� I
really should already be gaining that water weight already.� Well, at least I am
expecting it.� It will hurt to see my weight go back up after finally
breaking above 5 lbs. lost. Enough rambling.� Have a great day!

To Date: 6 1/2 lbs. Lost
I know I haven't written in 6 days, but I've been very busy.� I have been out
of work since the company I worked for closed in April.� I've worked some through a
temp agency, but not much.� They called Monday and put me on an assignment.� I
had to go in at 7 (getting up at 5:45am) and work 9-10 hours a day.� I have been
totally exhausted. Any way, while I was unemployed, I applied for or sent in resumes for
around 40 jobs.� Friday one of the places called!! It was one of the places that I
had just sent a resume in to. (not applying for any particular job, just begging to get my
foot in the door) They want me to start Monday! I am so happy!
On the diet side, I have lost 1 more pound.� I don't know what is
going on, but TOM is almost a week late. I can't have anymore children, so I know I'm not
pregnant.� I gained a pound and a half as if I were going to start, but now I have
lost that plus another pound� and still no TOM.� Confusing. Maybe my body is
trying to adjust to my WOE.�

Wow have I been busy!� I really like my new job, but it is tiring. I spend
the morning hours "kitting" computer parts for the production guys to build.
� We're talking 25-30 systems, so I have to gather 25-30 hard drives, cdroms,
floppies, software, mice, motherboards, cases, monitors, etc, etc every day.� Then I
do the RMAs for defective merchandise and prepare it for shipping. Between this, I
sometimes go on service calls to clients businesses to install sound cards or other parts.
� The company does its promoting from inside mostly, so I am hoping that once I get
my MCSE or CNA certification, I will be able to move into a networking position.
� That's my goal there.
On the diet side, I have lost 4 more pounds since my last entry!!
� I know that part of this is due to the "workout" I get at work everyday.
� I've been on this WOE for a month now, and I have averaged out to my goal of 2 1/2
lbs. a week. : )� I have to lose 5 1/2 lbs to reach my wedding day weight of 182.5.
� I hope I get there soon.� I can wear shorts and jeans on my job and it would
be nice to be able to get back into the jeans and shorts I was wearing. It would
significantly increase my wardrobe. I don't have a lot of clothes for the size I am now.
