*NSYNC NEWS

What have the boys been up to in 2000?

Well the new album No Strings Attached came out on March 21. As predicted, its release was HUGE with 2.4 million copies sold in one week to make it a solid Number 1 on the Billboard sales chart. This total broke the previous record which belonged to the Backstreet Boys' Millennium. The guys have been very busy promoting the album with multiple appearances on MTV and an appearance on the Rosie O'Donnell Show on which they sang a beautiful version of "Happy Birthday" to Rosie. The group also sang on Saturday Night Live on March 11. Joey and Chris took part in a Yahoo! chat session on March 23. *NSYNC was also a part of MTV's Spring Break which aired on MTV March 24-26. JC, Chris, Joey, Lance, and Justin recently stopped by The View and visited Jay Leno for the Tonight Show on April 4. The guys of *NSYNC also graced the cover of TV Guide for April 1-7 with 5 different versions, one cover for each of them.

Although *NSYNC and Gloria Estefan gave a great performance at the 72nd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 26, the Oscar for Best Original Song went to Phil Collins for "You'll Be in my Heart" from Tarzan.

JC, Lance, Justin, Joey, and Chris are also preparing for their summer tour. To check out the tour dates, see the schedule! Tickets went on sale Saturday, March 25. They're already hard to come by so good luck if you don't already have some!
