Family News - February 2000

We're finally getting used to the idea that, compared to the weather we had in New York, there's not really a winter here. Apparently, although we didn't have as much rain as they usually have in Winter, we did have normal temperatures. Warren was commenting today that it makes it difficult to tell what season it is. Fall never seemed to end and now Spring is almost here. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining! I don't miss the snow and ice storms we had in New York one little bit.

Matt is finally talking in full sentences, at least part of the time. I have finally come to the conclusion that he's lazy. As long as we understand what he wants when he uses two or three words, he has no incentive to learn more. Now that we are pretending not to understand all of the time, he's improving. The big milestone this month, I guess, is that Matt has started to learn how to swim. He's getting pretty good at it too.
