Kobe Port... in the background is the Kobe Maritime Museum and the Port Tower. There is also an Earthquake Memorial Park here in memory of those who lost their lives in the 1995 tradgedy.
Kobe to me had a similar feel to Brisbane. It is the captial of the Hyogo Prefecture, just north of Osaka. Kobe is port city about the same size as Brisbane. It was the first time I had seen the ocean since arriving in Japan! I have only been to Kobe twice, once to go sightseeing, followed by a beer garden party and another time to sit the Japanese Proficiency Test (Level 4)... results are yet to arrive!
