Poems and
Essay
Here is the beginning of a collection of my poetry, essays, and other fun stuff. Right now, there's only one essay-type composition, hence the title. I'm doing my best to list them chronologically. Some is good, some bad, and some just plain ugly, so don't criticize me too harshly. Also, if you even THINK about stealing my stuff I'll send my big scary friend "The Judge" to get it back. Enjoy!
"Is There a 'B' in My Sonnet?" - 1996- This is my first sonnet, and my only published work. It came to mind when my 10th grade English teacher, let's call her "Mrs. Dawson,"  forced my class to write gobs of poetry almost overnight. I won some Ohio poetry award in the Humor category, worth $25.00. Fun stuff.
"Jeremiad" - 1998 - My second sonnet. Yes, there was a second one, for the same teacher, two years later. A jeremiad, according to my good friend Mr. Webster, is a "lament or prolonged complaint."
An Overwhelming Question - Jan. 2000 - Yet another sonnet. Turns out I kinda like 'em.This guy I met really inspired me, even though he's a complete jerk. You know the type.
"Titania Speaks" - Jan. 2000 - This one is not a sonnet. It's a little different. I first called it "An Overwhelming Question," but the events that came next prompted me to rename it. The last phrase came to me in a dream. A Midsummer Night's Dream's Titania, for the Shakespeare-illiterate, is the fairy queen who fell in love with an ass.
Miscellaneous Haiku - This speaks for itself. If you're looking for nature poems, you won't find them here. I just can't take haiku seriously. When I try, it sucks.
I am NOT a freak! - My nonsexuality rant.
The Fourth Sexuality - A longer, better thought-out essay on the above subject. (Special thanks to iVY for the use of her Web space!)
