Jeremiad
If one day you are called to fight a war,
And you must sail upon the open seas,
Be careful, Angel, please do not let more
Long distant years bring only memories.
If peaceful days run low, and you must fly
Into a slate-blue sky, and fire won't cease,
Remember me, and don't allow to die
That kindred spirit that once brought me peace.
If grounds are bloody, and blue skies turn gray,
And mad depth charges make the ocean storm,
Remember, though I may be far away,
My dim light shines to keep her soldier warm.
If time tries to extinguish that bright light,
Do not go gentle into that, good knight!
