The Organization for the deaf and hard hearing in Mostar was founded in 1955. It was founded to promote social, cultural, sport, art and other activities within our community. Our work was restarted in 1996, and today we work under the name UGNO Sluh Mostar(Association of deaf and hard hearing). We take care and have activities with 150 members here in Mostar. We work in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. Our fellowship since its beginning of work permanently makes and supports programs of rehabilitation and protection of deaf people and specially is putting effort on solving the problem of education and informing by promoting using and inventing of new technologies, organizing protection for old people, youth and women, sports, culture and art activities, and generally improving all segments of life and work, since the association is main holder of all these projects.
