Building of the center for the deaf and hard hearing in Mostar:


Our project named "Building Center for the Deaf and Hearing impaired in Mostar" on location in Kantarevac, between primary special school and the Red Cross, could solve many problems, and facilitate general improvement of the living standard of the deaf and hearing impaired in and around the Mostar area. That is why we use this opportunity to ask all people of good will for help. If you help us we could make our first steps in building a facility for our fellowship of deaf and hearing impaired. The building in question will have a playground and classrooms for the deaf and hard hearing children, a workshop for training deaf and hard hearing people, a meeting place and offices for members of our organization and room to accommodate artistic and cultural projects of our members. Giving consideration to the fact that the deaf and hearing-impaired community is growing on a daily basis in the world as well as hear, and that of every 1000 thousand births 2 or 3 are born with hearing impairment that requires specific treatment, we think that realization of such an undertaking is of major importance. We would also like to emphasis that this project will go beyond the needs of just Mostar and will satisfy the need of the canton and surrounding area.
