NEO car class rules
(this is also referred to as open class)
Cars eligible to compete in this class are the Tyco 440-X2, Tomy Super G+ Car and Tomy Turbo Car.
The chassis must be stock and cannot be modified except to allow for the following
a) Add body mounts.
b) Mount any guide pin holder - guide pin must remain in the stock position.
c) Add motor bushes or motor ball bearings.
d) Drill two holes for adjustable brush barrels.
e) The pickup tabs on the chassis may be reinforced and/or
replaced, the chassis may be modified to retain the rear axle.
f) For better chassis rigidity, the BSRT 'Chassis Plate' (or equivalent) may be used to retain the Tyco 440-X2 chassis. Any motor clip used must be made from a non-magnetic material.
Any HOPAC- approved commercially available polymer magnets are legal. Original quality must not be exceeded.
The traction magnets may be glued to the chassis only. The use of glues or adhesives in any location on the chassis is not allowed with the exception of the guide pin and body mounting system.
Any type of armature may be used.
There are no restrictions on the guide pin, gears, axles, wheels and tyres.
Clear bodies may be used. Any body used must cover the chassis when viewed from above (except through legal openings).
