Our society contributes to the embellishment of St-Lambert by planting flowers and bulbs every year at Centennial Park and Lorne Park. This activity is organized by Barbara MacDonald, one of our active and appreciated members. In the fall 2008, the society took part in a Hortijeunes project and created flower borders at a daycare center. Pictures In 1999 - 2000, we helped to realize the St-Lambert School "Green Project", which consisted of replacing some of the concrete surrounding the school with green spaces for the children to learn about gardening, and for their enjoyment. During the last years we also took care of bigger projects. In 1994, we started a scholarship program awarded every year to a deserving student entering year three of the B.Sc (Agr), Plant Science Major, at MacDonald College. Centennial Dinner, 1994 |
