Further stability and responsiveness has been provided by Nissian's ATTESA, which was mentioned earlier. An electronically controlled, torque split 4WD system. This puts all drive through the rear wheels until the road conditions dictate that torque should be directed to the front. It allows you to safely put maximum input into your driving without worrying about exceeding the car's capabilities. |
| The
computerised drive distribution programme prioritises handling and
acceleration. If the rotational speed difference between the front and
rear wheel increases, part of the torque from the rear wheels is sent to
the front, countering yaw movement and increasing stability, allowing the GT-R
to negotiate a corner with the full driving force of 4WD.
One of the first rule of aerodynamics dictates that the higher the speed, the greater the lift produced - which threatens a vehicle's downforce. to counter this, the under side of the GT-R deploys a front diffuser and carbon fibre rear diffuser, both fitted beneath the floor pan.
