Autumn is a very enjoyable season to visit or live in Davis. People appreciate the cooler temperatures, in the 70's and 80's, after the hot summer season. Davis is noted for its number of trees, many of which drop their leaves in fall. Leaf raking and leaf blowers are a common sight along Davis streets. Some of the trees present leaves with fall colors. For example, there is a large fruitless mulberry tree in my front yard with leaves that turn a bright yellow color in autumn.
September and October usually have little rainfall. In November, the rainy season starts again, but the amount of precipitation is quite variable from year to year. September and October are mild in temperature, but November and December become much cooler.
