Neova is a clinical skin care line based almost entirely on a special form of copper known as GHK-Cu or Copper Tripeptides. They use what is commonly called a second generation of these copper peptides discovered by Dr. Loren Pickart that remains stable in skin care solutions. Several clinical studies have backed up the beneficial effects of this copper compound on the skin both in post-surgical healing and for stimulating the synthesis of new collagen fibers that makes skin tighter and less wrinkled.
Several reviewers have achieved very good results with these products, particularly the Neova Advanced Perfecting Elixir. While this line is very good, some minor points were counted off the Anti-Aging Rating because they use paraben preservatives in all of their products and some products didn�t have quite as high concentration of active ingredients as other brands in this price range (such as the Neova C Protection Cr�me only had a 10% Vitamin C concentration when 15% has been shown to be more optimal). Additionally, many of the products, such as the Neova Antioxidant Therapy Serum, use heavy concentration of synthetic fillers/texture-enhancers that could have been replaced with more natural extracts and viscosity boosters. But aside from these minor issues, reviewers have had success with Neova products and have largely reported favorable results.
